My eyes fluttered open, an unfamiliar feeling washing over me. It seemed like a mixture of guilt, confusion, excitement and need. This is the most confusing shit I've ever experienced.
I got out of bed, picking up my phone and checking the time. I sighed, realizing that I had to take my morning medication. I walked to the dresser, picking the pill bottle up and making the swift decision to take the whole container to the kitchen with me.
I put my phone in my pocket and walked to the kitchen, scanning carefully for any sign of human activity. I was pleased to notice that Alexander was nowhere within my line of sight.
I made it to the fridge and looked at the minimal amount of drinks.Orange juice? No, the taste of the pills gets stuck in my mouth when I take pills with that. Cranberry juice? No, same problem. Milk? PFFT HELL NO. Water, sounds good to this New Yorker.
I pulled a bottle of water out and struggled to open it. Goddamn medication making me weaker, I need to work out more. I just can't focus when I do-
"Need a hand?" I swung around, seeing Alexander in literally nothing other than boxers and socks. My face heated up, so I obviously looked away. "Uh..." I cleared my throat. "Yeah, sure." I held the water bottle out to my roommate and waited for him to take it. Alexander walked over to me and took the water. While he was busy with that, I was trying to conceal the pill bottle.
He'll think I'm weird if he figures out what pills I take; he's probably smart enough to know what the different pills do.Alexander handed me the water. "You seem to be staring at my dick, would you like for me to cover myself up better?" I blushed deeply and averted my eyes. "I'm s-sorry.." Alexander chuckled. "It's alright Aaron, I don't mind. Just figured I'd make sure you knew where you were looking."
I have to take my pills... Fuck. "Aaron, you seem troubled, what's wrong?" I shook my head.
"Nothing, Alexander." I lied.
"Aaron, please tell me the truth. You seem very upset."
Why would he care? "I'm fine."
Alexander squinted his eyes momentarily. "Oh!" he exclaimed.
"You have to take your medication do you not?" I nodded shamefully.
"Okay! Do you have it?" I waved the pill bottle in the air. "Alright, have you got it?" Alexander asked. I nodded and opened the bottle timidly.
I hesitantly placed the pill in my mouth and drank the water, waiting for the pill to go down. Once such things happened, I pulled the bottle of water away from my lips and looked at Alexander.
"I'm sorry for staring, you're just so lovely to look at." I blushed even deeper, clearing my throat and looked away from the nearly nude man.
"I, uh... Damn ADD. I forgot what I was going to tell you." It wasn't entirely my ADD's fault; I mean, my roommate is standing basically nude in front of me.
"Am I a distraction? I can change clothes if it means keeping your disorder under control." I shook my head. "No, as long as you're comfortable. Oh yeah! I'm going to break it off with Theodosia tonight, and then I'm going to sign up for a dating application." I explained.
"Alright." Alexander sounded slightly hurt by this, but I'm probably just being irrational; there's no way in hell he has feelings for me. "Okay, well, I'll speak with you later, Alexander."
Time skip brought to you by; me being a lazy prick
I had made a match, obviously this seemed cliché, but I did! I found someone who seems to show genuine interest in me. We had planned a date in a few minutes, only at coffee shop down the street. I dashed out of my bedroom, double-checking for my stuff.
"Where you headed without your medication?" A voice startled me from behind, making me spin around quickly. "I have a date and I don't want him to think I'm weird for having to take pills..." I admitted. Alexander opened the bottle and poured about three into his hand before putting them in my jean pocket.
"Careful Aaron, wouldn't want you having an attack when I can't help you; I told you that I wouldn't let you get hurt. I promised." I blushed lightly and nodded. "Stay safe Aaron. Oh, by the way, how'd your lady friend take the news?" I shrugged. "She took it well. I'll be going now, thank you Alex." And with that I was off.
The walk to the starbucks was pretty normal, by time I got there, Lee had clearly arrived already, so of course I sat in front of him.
"Hi." I nodded. "Hi." I repeated back to him. "So, Aaron, you're looking for a man?" I was caught off guard by the direct question.
"Y-yeah." I nervously fiddled with my shirt.
"You're so cute, do you know that?" I blushed lightly.
"So, you've never been in a homosexual relationship, correct?" I nodded.
"That's alright, I ain't got a problem with being someone's first, and hey, maybe I'll be your best~" I blushed deeply at the flirtatious remark.
"I'm excited to have hang out with you." Charles flirted.
Weeklong time skip
I was a hopping mess, I just got a BOYFRIEND! HOLY SHITSTICKS! I slid on the wooden floor in my socks, catching my roommate's attention.
"What's got you so excited, Mr. ADD?" I spun in a circle.
"Charlie just asked me out!" I screeched, and Alexander nodded. "ALEXANDER SOMEONE LOVES ME ENOUGH TO DATE ME!" I yelled. Alex nodded yet again.
"I'm happy for you, Aaron. I hope he treats you well. Congratulations." I was honestly surprised that Alexander was so calm considering the fact that he was always so enthusiastic; I was practically fainting in excitement.
"I take it you two have a date in store?" Alex asked, and I shook my head in negative response.
"I offered, but he said he was busy, he's with a friend." Alexander flashed a look of concern but it quickly disappeared.
"Alright then. Hope he treats you well." Alexander repeated before looking back down at his phone.
Holy shit.
