SURPRISE CHAPTER FOR OVER HALFWAY TO 100 READS!

Emma's POV:

After the movie was over, we decided to play a game of Truth or Dare. It's a pretty cheesey game, but hopefully we'll get to know each other better, or, at least the guys will get to know us (we are superfans!) So now we're all sitting on the couch or around it on the floor. Luke decides to go first and ask Catherine. "Truth or dare Catherine?"

"Um, I pick truth." Catherine replies uncertainly.

"Playing it safe...Well, what's the most embarassing thing that's happened to you on a date?" Luke's smile was mischevious. A chorus of "good ones" rang out.

"Oh I've got a good one. In 9th grade, a boy asked me to go to the Spring Dance at my highschool. When

        "You're kidding!" Luke cried.

"I'm serious! Now... Ashton! Truth or dare?" Catherine questioned. I look at her and smile. Catherine is lterally the queen of dares. I just hope Catherine lets him off easy if he agrees.

"Dare!" Ashton replies confidently. I almost pity him. Catherine's eyes are glinting and I realize that even love is not enough to spare him.

"I dare you to put on an outfit and makeup that Emma and I put on, and post in on twitter with the caption: my new look!" Catherine shouts. Ashton goes pale, and we are clutching our stomachs and laughing. Immedialtely Catherine and I run to the piles of our clothes. We finally settle on a flowy, turquoise knee-length dress and bring it out. The next step is even better. Ashton shifts uncomfortably in his chair as we apply makeup, going all-out with green eyeshadow and red lipstick. After his hair is done and outfit on, our faces are red and our stomachs hurt. His mood does not improve as we shout encouragement for him to do certain poses, such as a duck-face and peace sign combo.

Right after Mikey posts them on twitter, Ashton runs to change and wash his face. He then joins us and goes right to the point. "I pick Emma. Truth or dare?"

No stranger to horrific dares, I pick dare. "Well then, I dare you to put an ice cube down the front of your tucked-in shirt and break dance until it either falls out or melts!" Ashton laughs giddily. Begrudgingly, I tuck in my tee-shirt, grab an ice cube from the freezer, and drop it down. It's so cold, so I start dancing right away, not even caring how embarassing I probably look. After what seems like forever, the ice cube is now fully liquid and my shirt is wet. I look up to five faces laughing and pointing at Catherine's phone screen. Oh no she didn't!!!!

"Emma, you're going to get a million more subscribers after this!" She teases. Why did I give her my password that day?! My attempts to wrestle the phone from her hands fail as they hold me back.  Admitting defeat, I slink back and try to decide who to choose. Then my eyes fall on my target. Perfect.

        "I choose Ashton," I say.

"But I've already gone! Pick someone else," He whines. I think he knows that, if I'm anything like my best friend, he's in trouble.

"Nope. Truth or dare." I challenge him.

"Truth." He says. He thought that was the safer one. Think again.

"Do you think Catherine is attractive?" I smile. Immediately, his face goes beet red and the other boys grin. Catherine is glaring at me, but I can see that she's waiting for the response.

"Um, I mean, um, well, erm, yes?" Ashton is stumbling over his words and we all crack up. Both of them are staring down.

"Follow-up question, do you have romantic feelings for Catherine?" I tease. He may be a bit shy, so I'm pushing him.

"Is asking two questiosn even allowed?" Ashton pleads. Nope, I am not letting him down that easily.

"In urgent situations it is. So, yes or no?" Ashton shifts around for a couple of seconds and then quieltly speaks.

"Yes." Now Catherine is trying not to grin, and the rest of us are awkwardly watching. But, Ashton interruts this. "Now, I choose you Emma."

        "Fine, I choose truth."

"Since you are so invested in my romantic prospects, do you have feelings for a certain crazy-haired boy whose name rhymnes with Smichael?" Ashton asks. Oh no, why did I choose dare? Why! Michael is blushing, which makes me want to blush. And his hair is amazing, wait! What am I saying?!

"If I say yes, will you drop this topic?" I plead. I do not need any meddling in my life. I just want Catherine to be happy, and Ashton seems like a nice guy. I don't need to focus on myself right now.  Now, there are four people, including myself, who are blushing, and then I notice Calum. He is literally glaring daggers at Ashton. Oh no, what have I done?

Michael's POV:

Even though we're still playing the game, I can't stop thinking about Emma. When she said yes, it only made me blush even more. I hat being so uncool around her. I wish that I could have the guts to at least have a normal conversation around her. But no, I just keep grinning and staring like a creep. I could ask one of the guys for advice. Maybe Luke, no. He actually admits to being an awkward person around girls. There's Ashton, but it seems like he already has a romantic prospect to deal with. And Calum looks like he's ready to punch a wall. I've never seen him so angry. He's just staring Ashton down, so I really hope that they don't have a fight over Catherine. She seems like such a nice girl.

Calum's POV:

I hate Ashton, I hate him I hate him I hate him! How dare he try to move in on Catherine. The one girl that I really like, he has to swoop down and steal her. Oh well, I won't let her go without proving myself. I've never felt this way about anyone before.

Emma's POV:

After Truth or Dare, we just sit around and watch television. The awkward questions are still lingering in the air, when Ashton pulls me aside and we go into the kitchen. "Emma, I think you already know this, but I really like Catherine, do you think she'll agree to go on a date with me. I know it's kind of sudden, but I promise I'm a nice guy!" He smiles. Ashton does seem like a good guy, and Catherine obviously likes him. So, I give him an idea for a surprise first date. When we get back into the room, I motion for the guys to come with me, and Ashton and Catherine are left alone. Calum looks a bit hesitant to go, but Luke, knowing what was going to happen, nudges him and we go to the fron room of the bus.

Catherine's POV:

As soon as Emma and the boys leave, Ashton clears his throat. "Catherine, I know we've only known each other for a little while, and I don't want to rush you, I was wondering: would you go out on a date with me?"  I'm immediately giddy. Thank you, magical Emma, for landing me the guy!

"I would love to," I smile, and so does he. We spend about an hour just talking about things like our favorite color, and whether tacos or burritos were better. I was glowing! Now, only one thing left to do, get Emma her man! I know that she's worried about me, she's always been. Throughout our friendship she's taken the role of an older, protective sister. Well, I'm better now, and she shouldn't have to put her life to the curb. So, I begin my mission to help out my friend!
