Belated Birthday Update!!

Catherine's POV:

The next day, I woke up early and spent a good few hours frantically running around trying to find the perfect second date outfit. Yet again, I came up with nothing until Emma chose a coral strapless romper, tan gladiator sandals, and a statement necklace. She curled my hair and put on a flower crown, and my makeup was subtle but definitely brought out my features. I was so swept up in the excitement that I forgot about the Target fiasco until I was fully ready. I looked at myself, sighed, and sat down.

"Emma, am I too ugly for Ashton?" This was a genuine question, but Emma scoffed and looked at me.

"Do not let those stupid girls ruin your career and relationship! A couple of mean things should be the least of your worries!" She replied. I smile reassuringly and get ready for Ashton to knock. When he does, I open the door and yet again, his mouth drops open and he takes my hand.

"So, where are we going?" I smile.

"I'm taking you mini-golfing!" The enthusiasm on his face cracks me up. I'm terrible at golf, so we'll see how this goes...

"Catherine, you're not even hitting the ball!" Ashton is faking frustration as I attempt to send the ball towards the hole. By this time, we're both laughing and joking around so much that we don't bother to keep score anymore. Ashton takes his turn and gets a hole-in-one. We cheer, an get many strange looks from the family right begin his. After we finish the course, we go to a small cafe and order a late lunch. Our conversations are easy and filled with laughter. By the time we have to head back, I'm already at ease from yesterday's drama. We get the test of the group, and head to the concert venue. I dress in a simple pair of high waisted black shorts and Peter Pan collared blue shirt. I get ready, and practice a new song that I just recently added to my set list. As I get onstage, te excitement of the crowd overjoys me, and I am even more confident in my last song.

"Before I leave, I have one more song for you guys! It really describes the happiness that I have with my boyfriend right now. It's called: This by Ed Sheeran!" Immediately the crowd goes wild and I begin: "This is the start if something beautiful, this is the start of something new..."

Right after the concert, we all go out for dinner. Sometime during the meal Ashton pulls me aside and whispers:

"This really is the start of something beautiful."
