Chapter 11

Emma's POV:

        Catherine just sang a beautiful version of This by Ed Sheeran. You can tell Catherine sang the song for Ashton. I am so happy for them. I hear Catherine say, "Now for the amazing 5 Seconds of Summer!" The crowd is wildly screaming. Now the boys are running out on stage. With a sudden burst of confidence, I whisper to Michael,

        "Good luck out there tonight." He just smirks as he walks out. I see Catherine walking towards me.

        "Good job tonight! I am so proud of you, Catherine," I say while hugging her.

        "Thanks Em," she says, "Sooo what did you say to Mikey that got him so happy."

        "What do you mean," I say trying to act clueless but Catherine sees right through me. 

        "Oh come on, you know exactly what I mean, I saw you whisper in Mikey's ear," she says smirking.

        "I said 'good luck out there tonight'", I say.

        "Oh well he seems really happy," she says.

        "You think so?"

        "Yes! You would have to be blind to not see how happy he looks." I just smile back. We just small talk until the boys show is done. I see Calum whisper into Catherine's ear. Catherine smiles and nods. She follows him into another room. I wonder what he wants.

*Calum's POV*

        I am in the hallway with Catherine and I am going to tell her how I feel. I got so angry when she went on a date with Ashton again. I can't believe they are a thing! I want to know if she actually shares the same feelings with Ashton.

        "Catherine, I have somethinng important to tell you," I say.

        "What is it Cal? You know you can talk to me about anything," she says back. 

        "I like you," I say.

        "I like you too," she says acting like it's no big deal. Then I realize what she means.

        "Not in a friend way, I like you way more then a friend does," I tell her.

        "Calum, I don't like you in that way; I am with Ash," she says with confusion in her eyes.

        "I don't care; It could be our secret," I say.

        "No Cal, I will never do that to Ash," she says.

        "Really?" I ask,

        "Ye-," she is cut off by my lips crashing down on hers. She struggles to push me off.

        "Catherine?" says Ashton. I finally pull away.

        "Ash, it is not what it looks like," says Catherine.

        "How could you do this to me?" he asks with tears coming to his eyes.

        "Calum kissed me, I swear," she says on the verge of tears.

        "Save the excuses," he says walking out of the room, "Cal, I think it is best if you don't talk to me for a few days."

        "Look at what you did," says Catherine crying. She runs into her room. I think I just lost two of my best friends.
