Everything Broken (A 5SOS Fanfiction)

Chapter 7

*Catherine's POV*

I can't believe I had a panic attack in front of Ashton! Even Emma has never seen me like that until today. I haven't had one in forever. There is a good reason to why I have them. I tell Ashton this story in the car.

*Flashback*

I finally feel like my school accepts me! I'm so thankful to Emma for literally picking me up off of the street. Today I have my first presentation in front of the class. I'm so nervous; I feel like I will make a fool out of myself. I know I can do this.

        "Catherine, it is your turn to present," I hear the teacher say. I nervously walk towards the front.

        "My presentation is about Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. Romeo and Juliet had unconditional love because they loved each other no matter what happened. This added to the theme of love in the play and added to the plot. 

        "An example of unconditional love is shown when-"  I am cut off because I throw up on my crush! I am so embarrassed that I run out of the class room and go straight to the nurses office.

*Flashback over*

        "That was literally the worst day ever," I say to Ashton.

        "Aw Catherine," says Ashton, "Don't think about that anymore."

        "Why doesn't singing in front of other people bother you?" Emma questions.

        "I get lost in the music so I forget that people are even there," I explain.

        "Sorry to interrupt your talk, but we are here," says Calum, not sounding very sorry.

        "Okay, thanks Calum," I say.

We are at the dressing room and I am freaking out. I'm sure I'll do fine because Ashton will be right next to me. He always makes me feel safe.

        "Excuse me, 5 Seconds of Summer and Catherine, you are about to be interviewed. We need you backstage, " says a producer. We follow her backstage.  

        "Walk out in 3, 2, 1," says a different producer. I feel my feet walking and my hand waving, but I am doing nothing. 

        "Hello, I am Ingrid and I will be interviewing you guys and girl today! How about we start by you guys stating your names," says Ingrid.

        "I'm Luke."

        "I'm Michael."

        "I'm Calum."

        "I'm Ashton."

        "And we are 5 Seconds of Summer," they say together.

        "I'm Catherine, 5sos's opening act," I say smiling.

        "Thanks guys, this first question is for Catherine," says Ingrid, "What is it like touring with 5sos?"

        "It has honestly been a blast, they have taught me so much, even though it has only been one show. I'm so thankful that they are the band I am touring with," I say honestly. 

        "Awww Catherine," they all say. From there on we had a great time with the interview.

        "Emma! You need to help me pick out an outfit for my date tonight!" I exclaim the second we get home and are alone. 

        "I was planing on it," say Emma, "but I have to go through your extremely messy closet."

        "I'm sorry, I put stuff where it is convenient," I say back.

        "Whatever, let's just pick out your outfit," says Emma.

        Emma and I pick out a light blue and coral floral dress with a jean jacket. We pair that with coral pumps. We have earrings, bracelets, and a necklace that goes with the outfit too of course. I put on a light amount of makeup to cover up some flaws and I'm ready to go. Emma goes out of the room befor me and says,

        "Presenting your beautiful date, Catherine!" Ashton sees me and his jaw drops to the floor. 

        "Catherine, you look so beautiful," Ash says. I look around and all the boys nod their head in agreement. Calum looks extremely jealous though, and I'm not sure why. I take Ashton's hand and I walk out the door with him. 

        "So where are we going?" I ask Ash. 

        "Does pizza sound good to you?" Ashton replies.

        "Of course!" I exclaim.

        "Good because we will be making the pizza ourselves," he says. I squeal because I love cooking. I'm glad he remembered that. We are small talking so much that we are already there.

        "After you," says Ashton holding the door for me.

        "Thank you sir," I say back giggling. 

        "Ciao! Today we will make pizza," says a man with a thick Italian accent, "I am Chef Alberto and I will be helping you make pizza."

        "Thank you Chef," I say to him. I am so excited to make pizza with and Italian chef! Chef Alberto hands us out the dough.

        "Okay, so first we will roll out the dough," says Chef Alberto while showing us an example. Ashton and I follow his example.

        "Now, we throw the dough," says Chef with a glint of amusement in his eyes. Of course the chef does it perfectly. Ashton and I are a different story. I made holes in my pizza dough from trying to hard. (A/N yes I did just made a 5sos reference on purpose haha) Ash's dough fell through his hands and onto his face. I have never laughed so hard! After we fixed the dough so that it didn't have anymore holes in it, we had nice smooth pieces of dough.

        "Now, we can put sauce on the dough," say Chef Alberto. We get the sauce and I make my sauce look like a heart. 

        "Aw Catherine, cute heart," says Ash.

        "Thanks Ashton," I say with a smile.

        "Okay, now it is time for the cheese," Chef Alberto says with a smile.

        "Yes," I say, "I love cheese!"

        "Catherine, calm down. We are in public," says Ashton with fake embarrassment.

        "Sorry, I just love cheese," I say back trying not to laugh. Ashton and I sprinkle the cheese on the pizza and Chef Alberto puts the pizza's in the oven. He gets a  Sous-Chef to sit us down at a candle light table.

        "Thanks for setting this up for me," I say, "I'm having a great time." 

        "Me too," says Ashton. We continue talking until the pizza comes out.

        "Ash, my sauce and cheese is a heart!" I exclaim, " I thought it wouldn't keep shape through the oven."

        "Oh yeah," says Ashton, "That's awesome."

We small talk the rest of the night on topics from favorite sports, musical artist, and instrument, to siblings and family life. We say thank you to Chef Alberto then walk back to the tour bus. Ashton walks me to my room that I share with Emma.

        "Thanks Ashton," I say, "I had so much fun."

        "Me too," says Ashton smiling. He starts to lean in and I do to. We have a small but passionate kiss and then I'm off to bed. Emma is already asleep, so I guess I will tell her details tomorrow. I fall asleep thinking about a certain someone.
