Chapter 25

*Catherine's POV*

I finally figure out the perfect song. I scribble down the lyrics I think of and decide it sounds best on the ukelele. I play it out and it sounds really good. I don't know if Ashton loves me but Emma is almost positive that he does, so I will trust her. I realize it is already time for me to get ready for the performance. I dress in a black skater skirt and a coral crop top with a gold flower statement neckless. I avoid Ashton successfully before I go on stage. I don't want to be more nervous if I see him. I walk on stage with my regular guitar because I am doing a full set.

"How are you guys doing tonight?!" I ask the crowd. I get screams in responds. "I'm going to start my set with Innocence by Avril Lavigne. I do a couple more covers and then I start to introduce my new song.

"So I wrote a new song," I hear screams. "I'm glad I'm not the only one excited," I say giggling. "I wrote this song to express my feelings because I'm not very good at being straight forward. I would like to ask Ashton to come on stage."

Ashton walks on stage awkwardly and the crowd screams. One of the stage producers brings a stool for him. He thanks the stage producer and sits down. I grab my ukelele and step up for the song.

"Ashton, I have something to tell you but I'm not sure how to tell you so I wrote this song for you and I call it The Way I Am," I say smiling. (This song belongs to Ingrild Michaelson and her people.)

"If you were falling, then I would catch you.

You need a light, I'd find a match.

"So what I am trying to tell you is, I love you," I say to him nervously.

"I love you too," he says smiling. With that all of my nerves leave me and I give Ash a kiss in front of the whole crowd.
