QUOTES:

❝We can't be together. We'll never be together because I'm a monster designed to murder all of your friends and family! Is that what you want, George? You want a Death Eater for a girlfriend?❞

❝You're stronger than any of them, El. You don't have to become the monster you think you are.❞

PLOT:

Since the day she was born, Eleanor Ashley was destined to become a Death Eater. Her parents followed in Voldemort's footsteps and obeyed his every command. Her best friend during her childhood was Draco Malfoy and she would spend her summers at Malfoy Manor, where Lucius would speak carelessly and freely about the dark thoughts invading his mind.

There was no possibility of Eleanor ever dating a Weasley. She was raised to see them as blood traitors and a family who couldn't see past their pitiful values to actually make a fair minimum wage for themselves. But throughout her time at Hogwarts, she doesn't see them as a disappointment. She yearns for their lack of hostility and their welcoming with open arms. She dreams of what it would be like to go home to a family who actually wants you there. A family who loves you for who you are and not for your blood type.

She wants all of these things but when George Weasley comes knocking on her door, she doesn't let him enter. She's a soon-to-be murderer who hates herself more than she could ever love him.

SUMMARY: Eleanor doesn't want to become a Death Eater but because she wants the acceptance of her parents and the community, she knows her fate. She is mesmerized by the Weasley family and their happy aura. Her constant stare at the Gryffindor table catches George's eye, and he doesn't speak to her until they are both alone. He starts to develop a crush on her, avoiding all of the hateful rumors swirling around. He wants to prove to her that she can change and leave her family lineage, but this task will almost become impossible.
