Hey, diary! Tonight is a big night for me since it's my birthday celebration. My parents thought that I could possibly dance with some bachelors tonight fo find my 'future husband'.
I am a princess, just like the ones in the fairytales, but the one thing in my life as a princess that I'm missing, is romance.
I'll probably be ruling the kingdom one day without anyone by my side, because in my world, I don't believe in true love... I mean... I used to, but not anymore.

[princess macy's birthday celebration gala]

"Are you ready, your highness?" Justin asked.
"Ready as I'll ever be," I sighed and took his hand. He was my escort to the gala, since I couldn't find a decent escort in such a short amount of time.
"Presenting her highness the crown princess, Princess Macy Halbert and her escort, Lord Justin August."
As I walked into the ballroom in my light blue ballgown with intricate lace and beading all over it, my glimmering crystal tiara and matching stilettos, I could feel so many eyes doting on me.
"Stay calm, your highness," Justin managed to remind me.
"Right," I nodded. "Good evening, everyone," I smiled. "Thank you for coming to celebrate my birthday. It's good to be back and to see all your faces once again. I hope to bring good, as your crown princess and future ruler. I hope you all will enjoy tonight's celebration. Thank you."
"How'd I do?" I whispered to Justin.
"Well said, princess," he smiled at me.
"Thanks," I smiled back.
My father smiled and raised up his glass of champagne.
"A toast," he began, "to the crown princess."
