Felix | Carrie

Carrie had handed over her entry for the competition and had joined Felix during the judging process.

"Argh, I'm so scared! What if they don't like it or something?"

Felix turned to face Carrie with his eyebrows furrowed.

"Seriously? You're telling me that those amazing sweets don't have a chance? When did you fall and hit your head?"

"Correction. Who did you fall for?"

Felix's eyes widened and he turned to face her.

"What?"

Carrie inched closer to him and smiled as she leaned to whisper into his ears.

"You heard me. Who."

Felix felt his ears tingle from her warm breath and felt his cheeks redden.

"Well, it's obv-"

"Want an answer-"

But before Carrie could finish her question, Felix closed the distance between them as she reached up to cup his face. As they pulled away, Felix looked at Carrie, absorbing her curly brown hair, her honey-coloured eyes and the way she was absolutely breathtaking.

"See something you like?"

"Oh yes, all of it."

"Too bad. I have to go up for the results!"

"Hmm, how about I come with you..?"

Carrie was a nervous wreck, shifting from one foot to another while she tugged on Felix's arm.

"Hey, don't stress. Your results will be great."

"But what if they're disgusting? What will I do then?"

"I doubt you'd have even received an invitation to join the competition then."

"Huh, good point."

"Felix knows best."

Carrie smiled at him and watched as the judge came on the stage.

"Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. All the entries that we have received today we're absolutely amazing. However, we could only pick three winners today. Even if you don't win, please remember that they were all great entries! I'll hand it over to Nadiah to hand out the results."

Carrie squealed and squeezed his hand.

"In third place, we have Theo Rosales with his Spice Fusion Curry Platter. In second, we have Carrie Johannes-Mei with her Around the World flavoured Bonbons and our winner is Lara Azikiwe with her Jollof Rice Wraps. Would the winners please come up to the stage?"

The crowd erupted as the trio made their way up and from the stage, Carrie beamed as Felix watched on and after all the crowd had dispersed, Carrie bounded down the stairs and ran into his arms, nestling her head into his shoulder.

"I couldn't have done this without you."

"Congratulations! I knew you'd do amazing and pshh Bonbon, it was all your work. I provided the banter."

Felix felt her giggle and smiled but she abruptly removed her head and looked at him with a worried expression.

"About the kiss earlier... Was it just done as a on the spur of the moment thing or..?"

"What do you think?"

"You probably have a girlfriend or something but I think you should know that I really, really like you. I'm sorry if you're not interested or ta-"

"Shh, why would you say that?" he asked as he leaned forward to kiss her.

Once they had broken away, Felix leant against a wall and took a deep breath.

"I don't know why I'm saying this because I've wanted to say it for a long time and I'm sorry."

"F-for?"

"Oh, Bonbon, my love for you is like pi. Sweet and never ending no matter what happens. Oh and pun intended."

They beamed at each other as Felix shyly took her hand in his.

"Well then, let's not forget about coffee then."

And so the pair walked towards the coffee shop thinking about how it was such a small world and that at this point in time, they were the luckiest people alive.

A/N: Look at my shét epilogue lol. I quickly wrote it so I could tidy up the whole series.
