Maya POV

I suddenly awoke to a horrible headache, I sat up immediately regretting it as pain ran through my leg almost making me scream. I looked down see a large cut on my leg it was bleeding a lot, I needed to get it patched up before I bled out.

I looked around seeing half of Rico's body inside the car and the other half on the hood. He was still breathing so I should get out of here before he comes to.

I reached to unclip my seat belt but the stupid thing was jammed. I pulled at the seat belt as I looked around for something to cut belt. My eyes landed on a shard of glass that was big and sharp enough for me to use.

I grabbed it quickly cutting the belt, gritting my teeth as the glass cut my hand. Once it was cut I tied the belt around my leg above the cut to slow the blood flow. I then forced the door open crawling out of the car, groaning loudly once my leg hit the ground.

I took a deep breath before using my arms to crawl back on the road. After crawling for a few feet I had to stop feeling myself getting lightheaded. I looked behind me seeing a long trail of blood, guess the belt didn't help. I laid on my back taking deep breaths trying to regain my strength to continue but it was no use my throat was dry and I've probably lost a shit ton of blood.

I guess this is it, but hey at least I get a good view before my permanent dirt nap. I stared at the beautiful sunset before my eyes fluttered closed and I fell unconscious again.

Evelyn POV (y'all thought this bitch was dead?)

I woke up disoriented and hungry, I looked around finding myself in a tent. I sat up rubbing my aching head.

The last thing I remember was running from a bear, shouldn't I be dead?

I got out of the tent being temporarily blinded by the bright sun. I put my hand in front of my face to get a better a view, finding Avery and Henry sitting around a small fire eating.

"You're awake!" Henry quickly stood up placing his plate on the ground rushing over to me. "How's your head?"

"Fine, where are we?" I looked around confused "how long have I been out?"

"A whole day!" Avery chuckled through a mouthful of food.

"A whole day! What happened t-to the bear? H-how far have we gotten?" I stuttered.

"Avery shot it with an arrow" Henry said proudly. "We haven't gotten that far, you hit your head when you fell. You needed to rest"

"Well, I've rested; let's go!" I demanded.

"Now hold on a minute!" Avery got up from the log crossing her arms. "Unlike you my brother and I haven't gotten a good nights sleep since you arrived, we've done a lot for you so don't go around demanding things like we owe you anything!"

"You don't get it do you! My friends and family are in danger and if I don't contact my husband soon they might die!" I snapped back.

She scoffed before speaking. "You came from Rico's place, your friends are mostly likely dead!"

"You don't know that!" I yelled at her.

"Oh! Open your eyes! They're de-"

"Enough Avery!" Henry boomed. "Your screaming match will attracted more wild animals, so I suggest the both of you cool it!"

I scoffed before getting back into the tent, another minute I'm here is another minute that the girls are in danger.

"Hey" Henry gave me a small smile as he entered the tent, sitting in front of me handing me a bottle of water. "I know ave can be a little much, but she means well" he shrugged handing me something that looks like chicken but not quite.
