Seventeen

Ethan POV

I stood by the car door as the guys along with Emily and Evelyn got in the car. I really didn't want to sit in a limo with Grayson and maya for an hour and forty five minutes. I was still upset over yesterday, it hurt me a lot. In ways that I didn't want to be hurt.

I've built up this wall to protect me from it, but without either of us knowing it Maya has slowly been tearing it down.

Maya was last to enter the car. She looked like she had had a rough morning, she had a rough night so it makes sense.

I sat next to the window with maya next to me. She was exhausted so she placed her head on my shoulder. I tensed up at the contact but relaxed as I looked at her face.

"So is everyone excited!" Evelyn's bubbly voice filled the car.

"Yes! First thing I'm doing is going shopping!" Emily squealed.

"Calm down em" Tyler slung his arm around her as he gazed at her. I looked down at maya, she seemed sad; it mad me sad. God I really wish she didn't have this affect on me. She has so much power over me and she didn't even know it.

"Hey" I whispered as Evelyn and Emily talked about clothes and shit. She hummed slightly looking up at me. "You good?"

She nodded cuddling into me . I wrapped my arm around her pulling her closer savoring this moment; because this is all I'll ever have with her these moments.

Grayson was looking pissed, why though? Was it because maya and I are all cuddled up? He shouldn't be mad, she's single and he's married to another woman.

Maya POV

"Maya, maya" a deep voice cooed my name as I was lightly shaken. I hummed hugging Ethan closer.

"We're here wake up" I felt him brush the hair from my face. I opened my eyes seeing that everyone but Ethan and I were out of the car. "Feeling better?" I shook my head no. I still had a small headache. He got out of the car taking my hand in his. I looked around and we were parked outside of my fathers building. Cars and people buzzed around us.

I loved the city it's so full of life and there's always something going on.

"We're going to go shopping now" Emily squealed taking Evelyn's hand.

"Wait, take Armando with you" Grayson insisted on them taking a body guard. Evelyn sighed before walking away with Emily and Armando into the busy streets.

"Ethan do I have to attend this meeting, I'm extremely exhausted" I laid my head on his chest, closing my eyes as I intertwined our hands.

"Sure you can head to the hotel I'll come get you later" he pressed a kiss on top of my head before I got back in the limo. Grayson got in next to me staring out the window. I forgot that he's my bodyguard.

The car ride was silent, tense but comfortable.

"Are you and Ethan a thing now?" He asked through gritted teeth. I could tell he was annoyed.

"No" my voice was quiet and small.

"Doesn't seem like it" He scoffed.

"Grayson please don't start, I don't feel good, I'm tired and hungry. I don't want to fight with you can we just go to the hotel and rest" I looked at him. He looked at me and nodded.

I woke up to something small sitting on my stomach.

"Aunty maya" a little voice whispered as tiny hands caressed my face. I smiled opening my eyes.
