Chapter 12;

Alex speaking.

We went to a restaurant that apparently is Grayson's favorite place to eat breakfast. We sat down and ordered our food.

"Isn't it a bit late for breakfast now ?" I laughed.

No reply.

"What's up ?" I asked after noticing him day dreaming.
"Huh ? Nothing nothing."
"Ask me."
"What ?"
"It looks like you're curious about something. Go ahead."
"Actually.. Yes. Who is this guy from yesterday ? I understand if you -"
"It's an acquaintance." I cut him off.
"Oh.. is he your ex or something ?"
"No. Less than that."
"Best friend ?"
"More than that."

He looked at me confused. I sighed.

"With benefits. Friends with benefits. But not anymore. We were drunk once and we slept together, he loved me but I never imagined us more than friends. He told me that if we kept sleeping together it will be fine by him if I didn't love him back.. Since he was a very close friend at the time I didn't wanna loose him because of something this stupid and I agreed."
"Oh.. And how is he here now ?"
"He had to move 2 years ago with his family. We fought before him moving out and we haven't spoke since until now. I was young and stupid, all I cared about was sex but not anymore."
"And do you regret what you did with him ?"
"Not at all. He taught me a lot and so did I, he made me realize that it's okay to be different. Without him I won't have come out to my family. He meant a lot to me but not to the point where I'd go date him."
"Yeah I got you. It's okay to be different. I was bullied at school when I was younger."
"Really ? Why ?"
"I don't even know. They just didn't like me because apparently I'm different. Whatever it means, I'm happy that I'm not like everyone else."
"When did it stop ?"
"When I went to high school. I still wasn't that sociable but I loved the attention everyone gave me. I loved to be noticed since I was invisible in middle school. Everyone noticed me for my looks, but now I don't care anyone, I actually hate people who crave attention."
"People change, glad you're changing for the better."

I gave him a warm smile and he smiled back while our food arrived. I was so happy that we had this type of conversation because I never talked to anyone about William before.

"So tell me" I mentioned while eating. "How did you meet James ?"
"Through instagram, he was just starting his YouTube career. He Dm'ed me and we became good friends. He was looking for some hot guys to hook up with but I'm glad he doesn't see me as such anymore." He laughed.
"Yeah, he have a weird way to flirt." I laughed as well.
"I agree, but just like William helped you, he helped me a lot too. He was the only person beside my siblings I talked too because I loved how he was openly okay to be different while I was here being shy about it."

We kept talking and laughing for I don't know how long until I decided to look at the time.

"Oh fuck !" I screamed
"What's wrong ?"
"William is picking me up at 3 ! Can we go back home now please ? Its already 2 and a half !"

He gave me the poker face and took my phone.

"Unlock it." He ordered me.
"What ? Why ?"
"Unlock your phone."

I don't know why but I just obeyed. He took the phone back and opened my messages then called someone on speaker.

"Hello ?"
"Yes William, look we had an emergency and Alex can't come with you today."
"Oh wow. Is he okay ?"

I looked at Grayson with big eyes and he gave me a sign to not say a word.

"Let's just say I'm more important to him then you'll ever be, anyway we're pretty busy now.. if you know what I mean" he said in a seducing voice. "Bye."

He hung up.

"Grayson what the fuck !"
"What ? Don't tell me you were this excited to go with him."
"I wasn't but was the last sentence necessary ?!"
"Yes, so he won't bother calling again."

I rolled my eyes while he order the bill.

"I'm taking you downtown next."

I just nodded. I was excited to see more of Los Angeles, and I was kind of happy that it's not with Will, I just feel like it would have been awkward and we wouldn't have anything interesting to talk about.

I just spent the whole day with Grayson and I discovered a side of him that I was surprised he had. We kept telling each other stories and laughing, we even went shopping.

We went home around 8 P.M to see Cameron, Ethan and James there.

"Hey !" Me and Grayson screamed at the same time.

They replied with a "hello"

"So.. how was your guys day ?" Asked James, who seemed hella curious to know.
"It was amazing ! Finally got to take some fresh air !" I answered happily.
"Glad you enjoyed your day ! Now go do what you gotta do because we're all going out today as I promised Alex to." Explained Cameron.
"Yay !!" I screamed with a childish voice. "I'll just go take a quick shower." I ran upstairs under the laugh of the others.
