Chapter 37;

Alex speaking.

I tried to call Sabrina and Conor multiple times but neither of them answered. I'm starting to really get worried.. Sab promised me to be back at twelve and it's already three p.m, and Conor suddenly stopped answering me.

I was running in circles in the living room, feeling worried and bored at the same time. I wanted to leave the house and search for them but what if I don't find them ? I don't have the keys of the house.

I got realized from my thoughts by hearing the doorbell ring multiple times. I rushed at the door.

"Conor ! Finally !" I screamed after seeing my best friend's face in front of the door. "Why did you press the bell that many times ? one time was enough."

He looked at me with pain in his eyes, without responding. My smile faded away after seeing him like this.

"Wow, what's wrong ?" I asked.
"Anth got into a car accident. I called Sabrina and she went to the hospital with me. Sorry we ended up ignoring you I'm just not feeling good so Sab was busy with me all the time."
"Oh my god are you serious ?! How is he ?!"

I was shocked and panicked. Anth is like a brother to Conor, I can imagine the feeling.

"In critical conditions. I came to pick you up, let's go."

I nodded and we both rushed to the car, I noticed that was Sabrina's car but I didn't ask any question or talked to him the whole ride, since he seemed really upset.

He drove us until we arrived to a very familiar street. I just thought that the hospital just happened to be on the way until he stopped in front of the Dolan. I looked at him with a confused look as he parked the car.

"Get out." He ordered while removing his seatbelt.
"What ? But Anth-"
"Dude you should know by now that I'm a good actor. Now get out because someone really needs to see you in there."

I stared at him as my jaw dropped. I was speechless. Did he just lie to my face ?

"What are you waiting for ?" He asked with a serious tone.
"You're an asshole and I hate you." I replied coldly.
"Awh, I love you too. You'll thank me later, now let's go."
"I'm not getting out of here." I insisted, keeping my seatbelt on.

He sighed and rectified his posture to face me.

"Okay let's be real now. I know I lied to you a minute ago but now I'm deadly serious. Grayson needs you, he is in a very bad place right now. I'm not saying that you should forgive him or whatever but you need to at least talk to him and hear him out. If you don't do that for him, then do it for me."

"I'll never tell him. I can't Sabrina."
"Grayson you have to. How can you lie to someone you love that much ?!"

He avoided all eye contact with me and looked at the ground while playing with his fingers. He really is starting to piss me off.

"I in general don't get involved in people's relationships, but if you don't tell him, then I will !" I spat.
"You- you won't do that, right ?" He asked as his voice cracked.
"Try me. And if I don't, Conor will. We can't just seat there doing nothing when it comes to our best friend."
"Okay okay ! You won ! But please give me some time. I really need to apologize for the dumb shit I recently did, please I beg you !"
"Fine." I sighed. "You look awful, I'm just gonna go bring you some tea."

He nodded as I left his room to go to the kitchen.

"Hey." Said Ethan as he was seating on the table with a cup of water in front of him.
"Hey."

I smiled at him and went to the tea section as soon as possible to not make it awkward. I wasn't facing him anymore but I could hear footsteps coming closer.

"I know it's probably the worst moment ever to ask you this but I don't think we'll ever be alone without the boys again so um-"

I faced him as he was now in front of me with his hand on the table.

"What's up ?" I raised an eyebrow.
"Um- I was wondering if you'd like to go out with me, maybe ?" He blushed.

He is so cute. That was so unexpected. I've liked him since I first saw him but we never really been able to talk properly.

"I mean, if you don't want to, I understand." He continued with a disappointed tone as he noticed me not replying.
"No no ! I didn't mean it like that Ethan. I'd love to go out with you." I replied without making it seem like I was this excited.
"Really ? Wow ! Okay, I'll text you when and where."

I nodded and said something I regretted saying a second after.

"Is it a date ?"
"Only if you want it to be, I'd love to consider it a date but I was just too afraid that you'll see me as a creep if I directly said 'date' "

I laughed as I heard the bell ringing. Ethan went to the front door and I followed him. He opened the door slowly.

"Where is Grayson ?"
