The boys' friend arrives with quite the entrance. No pun intended.
The door slams open and a hinge that was barely hanging on flies off. A boy steps through, black hair messily tossed across his forehead, cut at his eyebrows. He has a delicate nose and a big smile despite his small mouth, eyes crinkling as he greets them. "Hi, I'm Hyungseob!"
"Glad to see you're not dead." Donghyun teases as Hyungseob picks his way through the mess. Hyungseob rolls his eyes, "I'm doing great, thank you very much." He looks at Hana and smiles. "This must be Hana?"
Hana stands, smoothing down her shirt. She's nervous all of a sudden, but she isn't really sure why. She calms herself and reasons with herself that it's probably because he's the first mage she has met outside of the four. She felt that she had to leave him a good first impression. Donghyun, who was leaning on the counter beside her, senses her tenseness and gives her a subtle but reassuring pat on her arm.
Hyungseob holds out a hand. "I've heard so much about you!"
Now, Hana is struck with confusion as she tentatively shakes his hand. Hyungseob reads her expression easily and grins. "Yeah! Woojin talks about you a lot-"
Woojin? Talking about her? A lot? Hana isn't dumb, she figures it's probably because Hyungseob is a close friend of Woojin and everyone eventually wants to talk to someone about their crush. But she doesn't want to assume that she's the center of Woojin's universe. He probably complains to Hyungseob about having to constantly keep an eye on her and make sure she doesn't get kidnapped by demons. It's like he ended up with a babysitting job that he never signed up for.
"Okay!" Woojin interrupts with a strained voice, trying to drag his friend away. "Hyungseob! Let me show you the rest of the house so you can start right away. We don't want to waste any more of your time."
Hyungseob frowns, "But I haven't seen you guys in so long."
Youngmin, pitying the situation while laughing, helps Woojin whisk Hyungseob away to the second floor.
Hana watches them go, tilting her head to the side. "Does Woojin really talk about me that much?"
Daehwi rolls his eyes. "He yaps our ears off almost everyday. It's so annoying."
"The man is feeling things he's never felt before, Daehwi. Let him be." Donghyun dismisses him with a flick of a wrist.
"Okay, but good or bad things?" Hana asks, seeking clarification. Woojin could very well be talking shit about her behind her back. Everyone has faults, whether there are few or many, and Hana would be more than understanding if Woojin didn't accept them. There are pet peeves that Hana couldn't tolerate either, even if it was the person she loved most in the world.
"That's not for me to say." Donghyun shrugs, leaning forward and picking a piece of lint off Daehwi's shirt. "On a new topic though, are you ready to see some real magic, Hana?"
Hyungseob works quickly and efficiently, taking breaks when needed. Hana is in awe the entire time, watching intently as Hyungseob frowns at the debris on the floor. In a second, the broken glass is floating in the air, circling around until it forms the shape of the missing piece from her bedroom window. It slides back into place, and the cracks in the window are sealed, disappearing as if they were never there. The entire process took no more than ten seconds, and while he had worked on the window, he began fixing the door at the same time. His powers were truly extraordinary and to keep working throughout the day just shows how much time and practice Hyungseob had put into developing his powers.
"You're amazing." Hana mumbles in awe as Hyungseob finishes putting the dining room chairs back together. Hyungseob grins, wiggling his fingers. "I'm a magician after all."
"How long did it take you to develop your powers to this level?" She asks, laughing as Hyungseob takes her by the hand and seats her on the chair.
"Years, but I'm a pure-blood so my powers are naturally stronger." Hyungseob informs, turning his attention to the broken cabinets and shattered dishware of the kitchen. "I hear you're a half-blood."
Hana immediately turns her head to look at Woojin for an answer. The corner of his lips curl up a bit as he sighs and answers. "We're not sure yet. We haven't met her parents so we've never had the chance to look for an aura. Hana had no idea about us in the beginning so it's likely that her parents are human and she got the genes from beyond their generation."
"You're quite the case, Hana." Hyungseob muses, "No wonder why Woojin takes so much interest in you."
Woojin glares at his friend, who brushes him off with a cheeky grin. "You're here to fix her house, no?"
Hyungseob salutes. "Yes, sir."
"Then do your job." Woojin nags.
"And you do yours, Mr. Park." Hyungseob wiggles his eyebrows, leaving the two alone in the kitchen as he saunters over to the family room.

yikes, this is unedited and i feel like it's kind of a mess because it's been so long since i've written for this story. i'm worried that i'm forgetting the characters and the events that have already happened and that it's not consistent. i need to work on character maps and whatnot but i'm so busy i just kind of sleep and study and repeat everyday.
i can't believe this story almost has 11k reads ;-; i'm forever thankful that it keeps getting reads and comments even though i haven't updated in so long. it motivates me to finish school quickly and strongly so that i can get back to writing in order to update more often. love you all <3
