The days drag on and without any spike in demon activity around the town, the boys grow more restless. They're afraid of a planned attack, a group effort of sorts from the other side. No one knows how many minions the suspected mastermind has under his wing, whether it be more demons, mages, or humans.
"I highly doubt it has many higher-level demons working for it. It would see them as a threat to its power and would rid of them before they even had the chance to think of overthrowing their master." Donghyun says from his position on the floor in front of them, flipping through the channels absentmindedly. Hana is seated on the couch between Woojin and Donghyun, legs crossed. Youngmin sits in the one-seater beside them. "So even if they were planning something, it's likely to be sloppy. We're more than prepared for it."
Hana yawns, leaning back on the sofa and hugging a throw pillow tightly to her chest. It had been a long day for her. She babysat her neighbor's children this morning, running about the house to play with them, and taking them to the park in order to keep them from being bored. Once her neighbors returned, she went home to help her parents rearrange their family room, having bought a new couch, and moved things about in the laundry room too, because they invested in a new washing machine that didn't fit the area the previous one had occupied.
By the late afternoon, Hana was ready to collapse into bed for a nap, but she had errands to run for both herself and her mother. As she prepares to go out and about in the city, Woojin tags along, saying she couldn't go too far without them. So she gladly lets him come with, almost crying in gratitude when Woojin offers to push the cart and carry all the bags on their way back home.
After dinner, she's invited over to Donghyun's home to relax with the boys for the remainder of the night. She arrives with enthusiasm but can't shake off how exhausted she was, apologizing for not taking part in the games that they play on the counsel as much as she could. Donghyun's sofa is extremely comfortable and soft, and it's not like one could sit here for long without eventually feeling a little tired. Her eyelids grow heavy, the soft buzz of the television in the background along with the boys' chatter begins to lull her to sleep.
When she wakes, most of the lights are turned off, and a movie she doesn't recognize is playing on the television. Her legs now have a blanket draped over them, the pillow she was holding earlier placed on top of it. Her head is no longer on the back rest, but tilted to the side against a shoulder.
After rubbing her eyes to clear her vision, she tilts her head up. Woojin's face shines from the light of the television, colors reflecting off smooth, golden skin as he watches the movie intently. Feeling her move, he looks down and Hana immediately blushes from how close he is.
"How was your nap?" He asks softly, eyes trailing back to the TV screen. Hana shifts, feeling Woojin's arm on the back rest behind her. She raises her head off his shoulder and sits up straight, gathering her messy hair into a ponytail and tying it back.
"Good." She murmurs, trying to keep quiet for the rest of the boys, and bravely leans back against him, feeling her chest thump sporadically. "How's the movie?"
Woojin shrugs. "Could be better."
Hana glances at him. "Thanks."
"For?"
"Your shoulder."
"You were tired."
"I have a heavy head."
"Yeah, my arm lost circulation."
Hana pauses, a soft smile growing on her face as she notes his cheekiness. "You're cute, Woojin." And she means it. Platonically? Probably, she supposes. After all, she's spent so much time seeing him as a fellow class representative and desperately trying to be his friend that she hasn't taken a step back to see him as anything else, especially not a love interest. Now, however... she'll admit that Park Woojin is quite the gentleman.
But no, she isn't in love with him. If this is how people fall in love, she might as well be in love with all four of them. Does she like with Woojin? That's the real question to ask. One that she can't answer. Not yet, but if her racing heart means anything... it's possible.
A corner of Woojin's lips lift the slightest. "Am I?"
"Hey." Youngmin hisses. "Quit flirting, you two. I can hear it even if you're not talking so please stop so I can enjoy this movie as best I can."
Hana feels her face grow hot, but smiles to herself, secretly gazing at Woojin. From what she's seen so far, the movie is terrible anyway.
