Both Mimi and I flew out of my Beetle heading towards the house. There was no care in the world just an eagerness to find out what the next challenge was. The circle drive way was empty which meant although the game had already started, we were winning.

“Hurry up,” Mimi screeching taking off up the stairs bulldozing into our assigned rooms.

She went straight towards the closest pulling off a hanger before rushing into the bathroom. Since there was only one I was left to wait until Mimi was done. I walked over to the closest pulling out my assigned hanger. A tag wrapped around it read ‘outfit number two’. Since it was either Nancy or Sandra I was surprised it didn’t read to or too.

Taking a hard look at it I rolled my eyes. It was a short tight fabric skirt with a low cut shirt. I did in fact own skirts and lower cut tops but I usually only wore one at once to avoid any impressions of me floating around the school.

While I sat there I contemplated on if I should complete this weekend or not. Although I was the bottom of the bottom it was only a couple months longer that I needed to endure where as this weekend might have life time consequences. University was right around the corner and no doubt I could find one that didn’t know the Virgin of Regal High.

“What is keeping you from leaving?” I shouted to Mimi who still banged around in the bathroom.

“What?” She shouted not hearing me while I repeated myself.

She emerged wearing a similar skanky outfit much like the one I was assigned to wear.

“I still have another year to go; Stella could make my life horrible for a year and a half.” Mimi plunked herself down beside me.

“I only have a couple months, I don’t know if I should stay or go,” Telling Mimi what was on my mind came easily.

Although I had only known her for a short period of time she was the closest thing I had to a friend.

            “Stay,” She insisted.

“Stay because you’re not going to let girls like Stella ever push you around again. The only way to beat Stella is to win. You stood up against that guy at the restaurant with courage and attitude, now let’s show Stella.” Mimi’s words were encouraging enough to get me to slip into the clothes set out for me.

I pulled awkwardly trying to lengthen the skirt but all attempts seemed to fail. Mimi tucked the bottom of my flowing shirt into my skirt letting the rest fall down on top of it before uttering—“You look like a slut.” A smile spread across my face.

“You too,” I snickered taking on last look at myself in the mirror.

Like looking into the past the girl in front of my cared what she wore and everyone’s opinion of myself. What I needed to do was fuse the past and present Eden into one super Eden Quinn.
