Scene 2

Scene 2 - Home-discovering my Secret Lab

Elfie: "I can't believe there's this thing called 'Christ-mas' a long time ago, I think I should read more on this book and see what this 'Christ-mas' thing is."

Elfie's Mum: "A book?! Holiday homework again? tsk tsk tsk"

Elfie: "Yeah and it's an exciting one" - seats down on the kitchen table and starts reading the book

Elfie's dad- whispering to mum: "Out of all our 6 children she's my favourite, she is so polite.''

Elfie's Mum - whispering to dad: "True to the fact that she enjoys Homework in the Holidays"

Elfie: "Sorry for interrupting but Dad is there any place I can do this?, um, I want to experiment so I want to build a time machine is that, ok, I NEED TO SAVE CHRIST-MAS?"

Elfie's Mum: "Christmas? I remember Christmas I miss it so much, I wonder whatever happened to it, and by the way it's pronounced as Christmas not 'Christ-Mas.'"

Elfie's dad: "True I wonder but what really happened to Christmas hasn't really been a popular event these days but anyways right to your question Elfie, I feel I can trust you so I'll reveal a big secret, follow me"

They walk to a dead end stopping at a brick wall.

Elfie- confused: "What, a brick wall?''

He pushes a few bricks and the wall splits in half. It led to a cool looking, high tech lab.

Elfie: "So this is what you've been doing up all night for these last few months!, cool lab though''

Her dad nodded

Elfie -  hugs her dad tightly: "Thanks dad, you're really letting me use this, from your hard work what if I mess up,or something?"

Elfie's Dad: "It's fine everyone makes mistakes and eventually that person will come to success, and by the way it's for you my gift, for your hard work"

Elfie: "You're really giving this to me! Is this a dream? pinch me!"

Her dad looks at her smiling

Elfie: "No dad actually pinch me!"

Elfie's dad pinches Elfie softly

Elfie: "A little harder please"

Elfie's Dad pinches her harder

Elfie- In pain then in excitement after the dots: "Ouch that was quite a hard pinch Dad, but by the way... I'm not dreaming!, ok this is real!" - squeals

Elfie's Dad: "Go Elfie and save Christmas, Oh and by the way I already have a time machine for you, I built it myself"

Elfie: "Oh Dad, you don't really need to do that but thanks, your the best, dad. I love you."

Elfie's Dad: "I am always proud of you Elfie, go on you need to save Christmas, you just need to press this button and you're ready to go, don't forget to bring our pet umm you're 'friend', Olaf."

Elfie: "He's our pet and my friend, Dad... Olaf where are you? Come here!"

Olaf: "Coming do you need a big hug Elfie because I love hugs."

Elfie: "No Olaf I want you to come with me to the past and save this special day.. Christmas!"

Olaf: "Oh that sounds so exciting, I would love to come Elfie"

Elfie's Dad: "Quickly you two, because our world needs Christmas"

Elfie: "See you Dad, I'll come back home as quick as possible."

Olaf: "See you too... but first I need a hug from everyone here, then I'll go"

Elfie's Dad: "Go on then Olaf, quickly"

Olaf: "I promise I'll be back in a flash just like that superhero, which I forgot the name. Hehe" - smiling 

Elfie: "Hurry Olaf, we wouldn't want the world waiting too long for Christmas"

Olaf goes off to hugs everyone in Elfie's family

Olaf: "I'm back, now let's go and save that..(forgets what it's called) Whatever thing" 

Olaf jumps into the time machine

Elfie and Olaf: "Seeya" 

Elfie presses button and disappears from the scene

Elfie's Dad- quietly: "You two are really my favourite"
