"Sure, if it isn't a burden," she said while secretly winking at me when Lin Kai wasn't paying attention.

"It isn't, I live in the street beside yours and hers," he signalled.

That was true, everytime I was waiting for Xiu Ying to walk to school together, due to the fact we were only 3 houses away from each other, I could see Lin Kai coming out of his home through the yard in my opposite neighbour's house, which was also opposite his. So basically there was only a house in between mine and his. But where mine is quite large and newly constructed, his is quite run down, old and small. No offense to him.

"Ah! Perfect! Thank you, I'll leave her in your care then, thanks Xiao Gui," Xiu Ying said and left before I could even mutter a protest.

"Shall we go?" He asked a so nodded, us walking away in silence, before he broke it.

"Why did you agree to what Yu Yan asked you to just now? Why don't you decline or tell the principal?"

"I'm afraid of her. Plus, she has the money, fame and looks that can cause her to get away with it even if I tell about her,"

"True..." he said, though in deep thought.

"Well, I can protect you from her?"
