Today was the lowest day
In a long, long, long time
The only way to go now is up
Dragging self along
As if on bloody fingers
Raw to the bone from
Immeasurable heartache
Let self be enveloped in despair
Shed an ocean of tears
Many emotions flooded through
Exhaustion, sadness, anger
But then like a lightning bolt from
Zeus himself...
My salvation
My self-preservation
My armor
Determination
My iron will
Has enveloped my heart yet again
I will not let this evil defeat me
With the last of the fumes I'm running on
One step, one inch, one moment,
One breath at a time.
Giving up is not an option
I choose to fight
And I will win!
