As I twirled around
In the sunshine
Yesterday
And took in
The crystal clear
Blue sky
I thought to myself
What a beautiful day to turn 31
Breezy
But not too cold
Sun shining
But not too hot
The grass and trees
Extra green
Nature showing off
Its splendor
As if just to me
It was one of the few times
In forever
That it didn't rain on my birthday
The clouds had decided to sleep through
My special day
And not appear
The color of the blueness
Above me
Was almost
As if
Made from watercolors
Unreal
I basked in the delights
As the trees gently
Whispered their secrets
All around me
Waving their
Large branches
Swaying to the
Beat of the soft
Autumn wind
My special day
Has always been
The beginning of fall
And indeed it was
Bright, sunny, breezy
Full of life, light, calm
Peace, hope, future
What a beautiful day to turn 31
