When you are chronically ill
To a lot of people you don't exist
They have conversations while
You're right there
It's better not to acknowledge because
It may somehow rub off
While others just try to out do your illness
With their own problems
Instead of just thinking of
How it will make you feel
This isn't a contest
I'd rather be healthy and fun
Some days are easier then others
Others you just want to disappear
Off the radar and see if anyone cares to notice
In the deepest, darkest, scariest part of you...
You know....understand
You are truly alone in this world
If that's true.....will I too,
