Kylo replayed the scene over and over in his head. He had gotten frustrated. He had lost his temper. He had destroyed important panels and wires and screens-

Kylo huffed, knowing that making himself think about it over and over wasn't going to make himself feel better. What would, though? A soft smile graced Kylo's full, pink lips as he thought about you.

He dismissed himself from his post and navigated the halls of the Finalizer. Just the fact that you were on board instead of at your shared hidden home on Diabozal made him almost giddy. Kylo narrowly avoided a squadron of Stormtroopers as he briskly turned the last corner.

Punching a code that only two people in the entire galaxy knew into the keypad beside your door, Kylo let himself in to find you waiting for him. You swayed in front of the bookshelf, letting your fingers trail along the spines of the books he had collected just for you. You turned a bit to glance over your shoulder at him.

"Hey, handsome," you purred delightfully. The shimmery slip hanging off of your shoulders fell like a golden waterfall around your hips. When you moved, it moved with you, but as a separate, whimsy entity billowing in a different breeze than everything else. You smiled at him, and the rest of the world blew away.

Kylo closed the door and swiftly shed his helmet. He set it on the desk to his left, then moved across the room to wrap his arms around your waist. You shivered, clasping your small hands behind his neck. You both let out a small hum of content at the same time and pressed your foreheads together.

"I missed you, my love," Kylo whispered just loud enough for you to hear.

"And I, you," you responded in turn, adjusting your hands so you could play with the hair at the nape of his neck.

The commander closed his eyes in overdue content. "I had a rough day."

You giggled and nuzzled your nose to his cheek. "You always have a rough day," you said playfully.

Kylo grunted in agreement, wishing that you two were at their quiet seaside home on Diabozal, or better yet, somewhere the First Order could never find him, somewhere all of his responsibilities but the one to his wife vanished.

You knew exactly what he was thinking. "Kylo, we've talked about this many times over, and I tell you the same thing every time. I'll follow you anywhere, always and forever," you promised.

"Then, let's go this time. We'll take a ship, and we'll go somewhere they won't ever find us," Kylo pleaded. "I want to give you everything you want, but I can't do that under Snoke's guidance- I know that."

You blinked hopeful doe eyes up at his anxious, tired, chocolate ones. "You're sure this time?" You asked him, a dreamy thread woven into the usual silk of your voice.

"I'm sure, my love." Kylo brought a gloved hand to your rosy cheek and brushed his thumb over your glowing skin. "I'm really sure."
