Han scanned over the cards in his hand, internally screaming. He had been losing credits all night, and he had been losing them fast. Han was digging his debt even deeper. He didn't really care that much, though, as there was a pretty woman sitting across the casino at the bar.

You were sipping a star blue drink and combing through your hair with long, slender fingers. The pilot's jacket you had on hid your high-waisted black pants that hugged and tugged at all the right places. He just wanted to grab your waist and dance. Han could imagine how beautiful those eyes would be-

And then those eyes were on him, and he was seeing stars. You smirked at him before blowing him a kiss that made Han's heart flutter.

"Solo!"

Han returned his attention to the game, realizing that it was his turn. Three of the men at the table had laid their cards on the table to signal that they were backing out. The last one-eyed man at the table had a smug look on his face as if he knew he was about to win. Looking down at his hand, Han assessed his measly pair of fours and high card queen.

He pushed his entire stack of chips to the center of the table. If he lost, he would triple his already staggering debt. If he won, however, there was enough chips on the table to cover his debt, buy himself and his pretty woman several rounds of drinks, and still walk away with plenty in his pockets.

His opponent gaped at him, wondering what in the name of the Force could have possibly made Han so confident in his hand as to bet everything. Had his opponent asked, Han simply would have told him it was a pretty woman.

After staring at Han for a few moments, the one-eyed man huffed and laid his cards face-down on the table.

"Great game, boys," Han laughed, pulling all of the chips to his side of the table. As he started to pocket them, the men grew restless.

"What'dya have, Solo? Another Royal Flush?" The one-eyed man asked rather threateningly.

Han finished picking up the chips and smirked, and then he flipped his hand face-up on the table, revealing the crappiest hand he'd ever won off of.

The men outraged in disgust, shouting at him in dangerous tones. "I can't believe you!" "At least give us a chance to win back our chips!" "You dirty scumbag!"

Han shrugged and raised his arms. "I simply played the game, boys."

Suddenly, the one-eyed man raised a blaster from his belt, taking aim at Han's forehead. "Give me my money, Solo!"

Han froze in his place. The chips in his pocket felt like dead weight, now- something he'd be in a matter of seconds. "No need for dramatics, gentlemen-"

Han was cut off by a blaster firing from the bar. The one-eyed man slumped to the ground, and the casino fell silent. Han's eyes trailed to the bar where you stood with your blaster smoking from the barrel. You caught his eyes and darted over to him, catching his arm in your hand.

"Come on, we gotta go."
