Anakin, as a Jedi, had never really dwelt too long on the concepts of love. He had always brushed off romantic relationships and significant others, leaving him in the dark. He was especially terribly unfamiliar with love at first sight.

Until he saw you.

You stood across the room with a dreamy look in your eyes. Your hair was a whimsy cloud around you, seeming to float on a phantom wind. Your long, flowing dress cascaded around you in sweeping bolts of the most gossamer fabric he had seen. A gorgeous smile rested gracefully upon sharp, rosy cheekbones, and as he noticed the way you seemed to glow like a bright newborn star among the people in the room, he was sure he was in love.

Before he could stop himself, Anakin was striding over to you, his heart thumping wildly against the confining bounds of his ribcage. Every bone, muscle, nerve, and organ in his body screamed for him to stop, to take a moment and gather more confidence, but his heart whispered, yes. Go to her.

And go to you he did.

You turned to face him with a curious doe-like expression on your face. "Hello." Your voice was like tangible starlight in his ears; it was so soft, so untempered, so beautiful.

Anakin's cheeks flushed wildly red. His heart thwacked faster, walloped harder, roared so passionately that it was hard not to fall over. He opened his mouth, but was at a loss for words.

You blinked in amusement, offering him a preserver ring in the middle of his raging ocean. You said velvetly, "It's nice to meet you, too."

And you gave him that smile that he had adored across the room.
