With TMNT, A Lot Can Happen (TMNT 2012 One-Shots)

'Warrior' (Raph Songfic)

After another event-less patrol, with Mikey being Mikey, Raph felt very frustrated and ticked-off. Then, in the solitary of his room, he sings a metal/rock male cover of Demi Lovato's 'Warrior' towards Spike, hoping that he would be able to understand.

"I can't believe that nothing happened out there!" Raph groaned in frustration, as him and his other brothers, came back from their routine evening patrol.

"Raph," Leo then glared at Raph, his arms crossed over his chest, "would you please stop complaining about it?"

"Oh," Raph then started to retort, towards his older blue-masked brother, "now you think I'm complaining?!"

"Well, you for sure are acting very immaturely, Raphael. Probably even more than Mikey right now."

"Yeah Raph!" Mikey then added, before he realised what Leo meant, "Wait......HEY!" and yelled at him, very much accused.

"And Mikey," Raph contiuned on to say, glaring down his younger brother angrily, "is just another reason, for our patrol getting all boring and out of hand."

Leo then stepped closer towards Raph, "Now you're taking your own stubbornness on Mikey?!" he 'asked' him, "you're putting this on yourself Raph. So, get over it, and cool off."

Mikey was then about to throw a water balloon at Raph, with a cheeky look on his face. But, only before Leo glared at him to stop, and gestured for him to put in away, and leave the room. Mikey frowned, and eventually complied, with a tiny huff.

Leo then turned back towards Raph, "And as for you, Raphael." he went on to say, "You're going to your roon, until you can calm down."

Raph was about to argue back, but Leo added as he pointed towards where their bedrooms were located in the lair, "No questions asked Raph, or I'm getting Master Splinter to make you listen."

Growling, Raph stomped towards his bedroom, and slammed his bedroom door shut.

Inside his room, he was ranting to himself, about how Leo shouldn't have had to boss him around like that, or how he didn't seem to listen to his argument. He felt the burning urge to punch something, or someone, in the face, right about now.

After that, he sighed out of frustration, and then went to lay down on top of his bed. As he did so, he felt saw his pet tortoise, Spike, from the corner of his eye.

Raph then smiled a bit, and picked up his little friend, "Hey buddy." he said, before frowning a bit more in annoyance now, "You heard me with Lameonardo again, didn't you?"

Spike gave Raph a look, that don't him that he did.

Raph then sighed, "It's just, no one but you seems to understand me, and what I need or want. I just wish, that can understand me, the way you do."

Spike cocked his head a bit, as he said that. Raph then got up from his bed, and towards his drum set. He felt this strange urge, to sing out his feelings towards Spike.

Who knows, maybe it'll actually help a bit;

After he was done, and to his own surprise, singing that song actually made him feel better. It didn't matter that it was originally written by Demi Lovato. This version, felt more like him.

Raph then smiled at Spike, "Thanks for listening, buddy." he told him, and rubbed his shell.

Knock Knock Knock!

Raph then heard his bedroom being knocked on, and then a familiar voice on the other side, "Raph, you still in there?" It was Leo.

Raph came closer to his door, and told him, "Yeah Leo, I'm here." before opening his door a bit, in order to see his brother's face.

"You feeling better now?" Leo asked him, even though he felt a bit afraid to ask and did hear Raph playing his drums and singing incredibly well.

Raph them smiled at him, saying, "Yeah, bro. Also, sorry about earlier."

"Me too, Raph, me too." Leo replied.

"So, you wanna play some video games or something?" Raph then asked.

Leo smiled back again, "Sure thing ,Raph. I'd like that."

Then, the two older Hamato brothers spent the rest of the evening ogether, before bedtime, where the two of them thought about the song, and how it indeed fit both of them very well.

So, here was Raph's songfic, and please let me know of what you thought of it, down in the comments (as well as any other thoughts/opinions/criticisms).

And, you know, it took me a while to come up with this one. Like, I wanted to do songfics for each character, but wasn't too sure with what song worked with who best. When I was looking through songs (based off of my own Spotify playlist), I thought that Demi Lovato's 'Warrior' did work for both Leo and Raph. But then, other songs worked for Leo, as well (which I'll get into more detail tomorrow!).

And, also, finding the right type of male cover for Raph, wasn't easy either. This rock cover, was the closest thing that I could find.

But anyways, I'll get to share with you all, my Leo songfic tomorrow. Then, I'll slowly open up requests again.
