With TMNT, A Lot Can Happen (TMNT 2012 One-Shots)

'Far From Home' (Farmhouse Arc Songfic)

Request from AmandaWisk;

This takes place, at April's farmhouse. Everyone, including Ellie, are all tense since the Invasion, and Leo waking up from his coma.

Then, as each of them are doing different things, they subconsciously start to sing 'Far From Home' by 'Five Finger Death Punch', hoping that it would help them all feel better.

It was all almost too unbearable to comprehend; The Kraang had already successfully invaded New York City, Leo has woken up from his coma with a damaged throat and leg, and Master Splinter and Paige weren't anywhere to be found.

With all that's happened, the turtles, April, Casey and Paige, were all fairly tense and overwhelmed.

Right now, Leo was miserably sitting out from Raph and Casey's sparring session, Mikey was talking with Ice Cream Kitty in the kitchen, Donnie was working in the barn's make-shift lab to create more retro-mutagen for all of New York's affected, April was thinking on the bench swing, and Ellie was in her room, pacing & thinking worriedly about her younger sister, Paige.

No one said much, except for Mikey's chatting with Ice Cream Kitty & Raph's and Casey's sparring noises. They kept on thinking about either home, the Kraang, Master Splinter & all other lost ones, affected by the Invasion.

While trying to keep themselves preoccupied with their various activities of choice, Ellie was looking through music on her phone, and found a song, that seemed to fit their current situation well;

{Ellie}

Another day in this carnival of souls

(Ellie looks out the window, to see the others)

Another nights ends, end as quickly as it goes
The memories are shadows, ink on the page
And I can't seem to find my way home

(Ellie then turns away from the window, and thinks about her sister Paige, once again)

And it's almost like

(Donnie then stepped out of the barn, for a short break, and looked towards Casey trying to comfort April)

(He sees Jones say something to April, but can't hear what he said)

(April then smiles a bit at Jones' words, before leaning her head on his shoulder, and his head leaned on top of hers)

To keep me out

(Donnie then sighs sadly, watching the two of them together, before retreating back into the barn)

All the places I've been and things I've seen

(Mikey then sighs sadly, while talking to Ice Cream Kitty, thinking about everything tat's happened, before Master Splinter was thrown down into the water pipe)
A million stories that made up a million shattered dreams

(Then, he thinks about everything, that happened after that)
The faces of people I'll never see again

(Leo then sadly watches his red-masked brother and his friend Casey, sparring once again & thinking about Paige, Karai & Master Splinter)

And I can't seem to find my way home

(He then looks at his injured leg, and sighs, about how much longer till its fully healed)

'Cause it's almost like

(Raph then tries to block an incoming attack from Jones, with his own two sai)

Your heaven's trying everything

(He thinks about how Leo was thrown through April's apartment window)

To break me down

(He then remembers, of how he had to watch over his eldest brother, before he woke up)

'Cause it's almost like

(Casey then leaped out of the way, from Raph's incoming pounce)

(Casey tries to attack next, yet is also thinking about his possibly mutated mother and younger sister, back in New York)

To keep me out

'Cause it's almost like

(April then added, thinking about her father getting mutated, again by the Kraang)

(She then thought what first started this whole mess; bring her 'friend' Irma into the lair, trying to avoid Foot bots)

(Everyone then thought about everything going on back home, still trying to keep busy, with justsomething)

(Everyone, then seemed to have gathered themselves, where Leo sat on April's porch)

(As the music slowly ended, everyone looked into each other's eyes, and faintly smiled)

Being all together now, everyone knew that no matter what was to come their way now, they'd do it with both their training and special bonds that they share.

The Kraang may have tried to take that away from them, but the turtles and all of their friends, would be sure to pull on through it all.
