Maddie's POV

Ash and I laid in bed, cuddling. One of his arms above his head and the other wrapped around me as my right arm was wrapped around his body and I drew shapes on his bare chest with my left hand. All Ash was wearing was his boxers and I had on his T-shirt and my underwear. "Maddie?" Ashton spoke softly. "Mhm?" I mumbled against his skin. "I'm gonna tell you something, but you can't interrupt me." I looked up at him, "Okay?" "Madalynn Hazel Hood. I fell in love with you the day I met you. I love you more than anything in the world. Scratch that. You are my world. I want to always be with you." I now knew where this was going. I sat up leaning my back against the head board and Ashton kept talking. I zoned him out, "Ashton." I whispered. "I just want to spend the rest of my life with you." He continued to ramble on. "Ashton." I spoke a little louder but he couldn't hear me. "ASHTON." I burst into tears. He sat up startled by my outburst. "Babe, I didn't mean to make you cry." He wrapped his arm around my shoulders and I shook it off. I buried my face in my hands and brought my knees to my chest. "Maddie." Ashton took my hand in his and I let him. "Please talk to me." I pulled my other hand from my face and looked at him. "Ashton when I told you I wanted to marry you I meant it." His smiled brightened. "But I also meant what I said about having to wait. I'm 18. You're almost 20. Calum would never let me get married." "Maddie." I ignored him and continued talking, "I love you. And I want to spend the rest of my life with you. But I want to live out life and be a teenager for 2 more years." "What does that have to do with anything? You can live out life with a ring on your finger." "Get me a promise ring." "Maddie. I want to buy you a wedding ring, not a promise ring." "Get me a promise ring and I'm yours. It's me basically saying that we can get married. I will wait. Will you?" "Only for you." My phone rang and I laid across Ashton's lap. I pulled my phone off the charger and he tickled my sides. "Ashton!!" I laughed. I hit him and stood up answering the phone, "Hello?" I laughed. "Hey Maddie." Annie spoke. "Can you hold on a second? Thanks."i put my phone down and pulled out of Ashton's grip. He grabbed me by my waist and pulled me back to him. I grabbed the phone again, "Sorry, Annie. You can talk now." "Well I'm at my house with Mati and Maddy and we want you to come spend the night with us." "Kay. I'll be over in like 15 minutes?" "Cool." "Bye." I hung up. "Who was that?" "Annie, she's at her house with Mati and Maddy and I'm gonna go spend the night with them." "Babe?!" "What?" "I wanted to hang out." "It's like 7. I'm just gonna spend the night or maybe two nights." "Two nights?!" "Ashton. I haven't slept over at a friends house since we moved in together." "I don't wanna stay here alone." I groaned and picked up my phone. I put the phone up to my ear and listened to it ring. "Who are you calling?" I held my finger up to him then that thick Australian accent I've known my whole life answered, "Hello?" "Hey, Calum! I'm going to spend the night with Maddy, Mati, and Annie and Ashton was wondering if you and the guys wanna come over and spend the night tonight and possibly tomorrow night?" "Yeah, sure. We're leaving now. We'll be over in like 5 minutes." "Kay. I love you." "Love you, too." I hung up, "Now you have friends coming over." He wrapped his arms around me and pulled me into his lap. "Ash. I'm not gonna die. It's just two nights and we probably won't even leave the house." "I know but I don't want you to leave." "We have to like talk about prom and such." "Wait when's prom?" "Like next Friday." "Fuck." He mumbled. I turned and looked at him, "I love you." He pecked my lips, "I love you, more." "No you don't." "Yes. I do." "No." "Yes." "Then show me. Scream it to the world. Tell the world that you love me." He leaned in and put his lips next to my ear, "I love you." He whispered. "Why did you whisper it to me like that?" "Because your my world." "You're my world, too." I pressed my lips on his and took his head in my hands. I moved and straddled his waist. "Babe." "Ash." His hands traveled to my butt. "What're you doing?" I pulled off. "Umm, what do you think I'm doing?" "No. I have to go." I went to climb off of him and he pulled me to his chest. "Bear." I wrapped my arms around him. "Please let go." He let go of me and I climbed off and pulled on my shorts, while he just sat on the bed and watched me. I had all my stuff together and looked at him. He looked like he was about to cry. "Bear, what's wrong." "I haven't slept alone in like a year." I smiled, "10 months and 12 days." I laughed. "What?" "We moved in together 10 months and 12 days ago." "Oh." He looked at the floor. "Bear." I laid my stuff down and sat on his lap and he wrapped his arms around me. "I love you, Bear." I smiled. "I love you, too." "I thought you loved me more." "Well you wouldn't let me win that fight so I gave up." "That's why I love you." Our eyes met and I leaned in connecting our lips. He turned me around and I tangled my fingers in his hair. "I have to go." I pulled back slowly. "Ok..." I stood and he stood next to me, "You should probably put some clothes on before my brother comes over." "No, I want him to know what we did." He smiled, sarcastically. "Seriously, I don't want him to know." "I'll walk you out then put clothes on." Calum and Michael walked through the front door and sat on the couches. "Hi." Calum said playing on his phone. "Hi?" I laughed, "Where's Luke?" "He didn't feel good." I nodded and looked at Ashton. He walked me to my car and opened my door for me. I put my stuff in the back and stood in front of him. "I love you." He smiled looking down at me. "I love you, too, Bear." I wrapped my arms around his waist and hugged him. He wrapped his arms around my shoulders and squeezed. "Don't tell Calum what happened." I laughed. "I won't." He smiled. I pulled back and stood on my toes pressing my lips against his. I pulled off and smiled, "I love you." "Haven't we already done this?" I laughed. "Yeah, but I wanted to tell you again." "Well I love you, too." "I'll call you before I go to bed." I smiled. "Kay." He pecked my lips and I got in the car. I pulled out and he waved until I was completely out of sight.

"Hey Annie." I walked into her house and threw my stuff on the floor by the door. "Hey." Her, Mati and Maddy were sitting on the floor in the middle of the living room. I sat next to Maddy and kicked my shoes off, "What're we doing?" "We were waiting for you so we were just talking." "Oh cool. What were you talking about." "Why you were late." I laughed, "Well what was the conclusion?" "That you and Ashton were...you know." I blushed, "That's a good one but no." "Then why are you blushing?" "Well we did but it was like 30 minutes before you even called and when you called we were just kind of laying there, cuddling and talking." " What were you talking about????" Maddy nudged my shoulder. "Umm...n-not much..." "Ok, what're you hiding." Annie moved closer to me. "N-Nothing." I gave her a weak smile. "Maddie. What did he say? You can tell us." "He...he basically asked me to marry him." They all gasped, "What did you say?!" Mati yelled, half excited, half worried. "I-I told him we weren't ready. I mean I'm 18 he's 19 almost 20 and were just not ready. We're too young and too immature." "Maddie, I'm sorry." "It's ok, it's not like we broke up." They all stayed silent and I looked up at them, "What?" They still didn't speak and I shifted. "Maddie, most relationships end shortly after a failed marriage proposal." Annie sighed. "No, no. He didn't directly ask me to marry him he just kinda talked about it and shifted around the subject." I rambled. "Ok, if you think so." "Is Luke here?" I asked attempting to change the subject. "Yeah, why?" She rose her eyebrow at me. "The guys were gonna hang out with Ashton but Calum told me Luke wasn't feeling good." "Umm...no, he's fine." She laughed. "Why didn't he go over?" "He wanted to stay home and told me to cover if anyone called or something." I nodded, "That's odd." She laughed, "He's an odd person." We all laughed.

I listened to the phone ring and dug through my bag for my charger. "Hey, babe." Ashton answered happily. "Hi, Bear." I said still focused on trying to dig through my stuff with only one hand. "You ok?" "Yeah, I'm trying to find my charger." "Umm, babe?" "Yeah?" "I'm looking at your charger." Even though I figured he wasn't in the room I looked around and groaned, "You've got to be kidding me." He laughed at my frustration, "I can bring it?" "No, I'll just borrow Luke's or something." "Ok, I miss you." "Miss you, too. Well I guess it's time for me to go to sleep." "What makes you say that?" He laughed. "Annie, Maddy, and Mati are asleep. And I've tried to sleep but I can't." I ran my fingers through my hair still frustrated with myself. He laughed, "I'm sorry, I'll let you go. I love you." "I love you, too, bear." "Goodnight, beautiful." "Night." I yawned and hung up. Damn, I'm tired. I have to go borrow Luke's charger though. I got up and walked to Luke's room. I softly knocked on the door. "You can come in." I turned the knob and walked in closing the door behind me softly. "Oh, hey Maddie." He glanced at me from his position sitting on his bed looking at his laptop. "Hi, Luke. Is there anyway I could borrow a charger?" He laughed, "Yeah, is Annie asleep?" "Yeah and Maddy, and Mati." He laughed again. "Why aren't you?" He leaned over and grabbed his extra charger from the nightstand drawer. I thought about whether or not I should tell him the truth, "I-I'm not used to sleeping with out Ashton." He smiled, "Awwww." I walked over to his bed and took the charger from his hand, our finger tips brushing up against each other. "Well I've got room in here if you want?" He looked up at me. "Really?" He nodded. "Thank you, Luke." I climbed into his bed next to him. He wrapped his arm around my shoulders and I wrapped mine around his waist. "What're you watching?" I asked, yawning. "Mean girls." He laughed. "Best. Movie. Ever." I laughed. The movie ended and I yawned again, "Night, Luke." "Night, babe." "Babe?" "S-Sorry, it just slipped out." I nodded, "Night."
