Maddie's POV

Ashton's mouth hung open, "He what?!" "He...he kissed me. We were sitting really close and he just leaned in and kissed me." The door swung open revealing Luke, "Ashton we need to talk!" "No shit." Ashton said. "Oh, y-you told him?" Luke asked rubbing the back of his neck with his hand. I nodded. Ashton went to walk towards him but I grabbed his wrist. "Don't, Bear." "Maddie, he kissed you!!! Do you not understand this!? You know what happened to Harry when he kissed you!!!" I dropped my hands to my sides, "Luke is your brother." "What?" "He's your bandmate, your frontman, your guitarist, your brother. You guys spend so much time together you know everything there is to know about each other. He knows more about you than you know about yourself. If you hurt him you hurt yourself. Now do whatever you want." Ashton, Luke, and Cal stared at me. The words that came out off my mouth apparently surprised them. "You're right." Ash finally said. "I know I am." I smiled. Ashton smiled letting his dimples show. "But, Maddie, I can't just let him get away with it." "Well, duh." "What should I do then Mrs. smarty pants?" "Sit down and talk to him. Listen to his side of the story." He nodded, "We'll talk tomorrow, Luke." "Why not today?" "Well, it's Valentines Day." Ash wrapped his arm around my waist. "Ok I'm leaving." Luke turned and walked out of the house. I giggled and put my hands on each side of Ashton's head. Our foreheads touched and I smiled. "Oh, Maddie I have a present for you!!" Ashton stepped out of my reach and into our room. I turned to Cal and mouthed, 'Do you know what he's getting?' Cal shrugged. I turned back to Ashton to where he was standing in front of me holding the cutest little husky puppy. I put my hand over my mouth. "It's so cute." I breathed. I took the puppy out of his hands and held it close to my body. "What's his name?" I asked Ash. "He doesn't have one yet. I'm letting you pick." "Ash. You know I suck at making decisions." "Yeah I know." "I hate you." "Pick a name!!" "Bear." "What, babe?" "Bear, I wanna name him Bear." "Awwwwwwwwww." Cal cooed. We turned to Calum. "Oh sorry. I'm just gonna leave now." I nodded, "Here take my car I'll come pick it up later." I threw my keys at him and he caught them and walked out. I looked back to Ash and he leaned in and pressed his lips on mine. Bear whined for a second and licked our chins. I smiled and pulled off. "What do you wanna do for Valentines day?" Ashton asked. I shrugged and kissed Bear's head. "We could go out and eat, we could stay home, we could bang..." He winked. I laughed, "The last one kinda sounds like fun..." "Really?" He smirked. He took Bear out of my hands and put him in the backyard. "Is he gonna be ok out there?" I bit my lip. Ashton nodded,"I have the porch blocked off so he won't even get onto the grass." I nodded. Ash looked at me and bit his lip, he pressed his lips against mine and backed me against the wall. "Bear." I breathed against his lips. My phone rang. "Shit." I mumbled. I grabbed my phone off the counter and Ash moved kissing my neck. "Hello?" I answered. "Hey, Maddie." "Ummm, hi Harry?" Ashton imminently stopped kissing my neck and looked at me, 'What does he want?' He mouthed. I shrugged, 'I don't know.' "I know this is weird but, I heard you and Ashton had a fight and-" "Harry, I don't want to go out with you." "That's not what I was going to say." "Oh then continue." "And I was wondering if you were ok." "Yeah I'm fine thanks I'm with Ashton actually, you know...for Valentines day." "Oh, yeah sorry...I'm just gonna go now." "Yeah." he hung up. "Did he just ask you out?" "No," I shook my head, "He heard that we got in a fight and wanted to see if I was ok." "Oh." Ashton leaned down to kiss me again when the door opened. "Hey, guys?" Lauryn said. "Hi, Lauryn." I smiled. "Am I interrupting something?" "No." I answered before Ash could open his mouth. I walked over to the back door and opened it. Bear jumped at my legs and I picked him up. After closing the door I walked back over to Ashton and Lauryn, who were having a whispered argument. "Awwww." Lauryn cooed. I handed her Bear and she took him petting his head, "Where did this little guy come from?" "Ashton got him for me." Lauryn looked at Ash, "You buy her all the good stuff!!!!!!!!!" Ash and I laughed. "What's his name?" "Bear." "Did Ashton come up with that? You know like you get a bird and name it fish?" I laughed and shook my head, "No I named him after Ashton." "Bear?" I nodded, "That's what I call him at least." Lauryn handed Bear back to me. "So can you like leave or something?" Ash asked. "Ashton!!" I smacked his arm. "What!!!? It's Valentines Day!!! And I wanna spend time with you!!!!" "Ashton." "What?" "You're being an ass." Lauryn laughed. "Baaaaabbbbe." Ash whined. "You think this is funny don't you?" I asked Ashton. "Ok, I'm sorry." He apologized. "But it's Valentines Day!!! And I wanna be with you...alone!" "You know what I've been thinking, Bear?" I asked changing the subject. "What?" He sighed. "That we've been dating for nearly a year and I haven't met your mom." I knew not to bring up Ashton's dad, knowing he left them and wasn't around. Ashton opened his mouth but Lauryn spoke, "You should have dinner with us tonight!!!" "Tonight?" I asked. Lauryn nodded. "I dunno, we'll have to check Ashton's schedule." "Ha ha. Very funny, babe." I pecked his lips and put Bear down. Behind me I could hear whispering so I turned and walked back over to them. I put my hands over Ashton's eyes. "Maddie, what're you doing?" "I don't know what're you doing?" I mocked his voice. "Don't do that." "Don't do that." He pulled my hands off his face and turned around. He backed me into the living room, holding my wrists. Once we were in an open area he started to tickle the crap out of me. "Ash!!!! Stoppppp!!!!!!" I laughed and fell to the ground. He finally stopped tickling me and was basically laying on top of me. His necklace was hanging down partially laying on my chest. I put my fingers in the chain and pulled him down to me until our lips touched. "Ew, gross." Lauryn pretend gagged. I smiled into our kiss. Ashton pulled off, "That's what our Valentines Day should consist of. Minus Lauryn." I giggled, "Well then, where do you propose we go so we can continue with this?" He smirked, "Let's go to your house." "Fuck no." He giggled. Oh my god his giggle. "Why not babe?" "Cuz Calum's home." "Well it's easier to make him leave than Lauryn." "He won't leave." "Yes he will." "No he won't. He's my protective older brother he'll make us sit 3 feet apart." "Nope, he'd leave I promise!!!!" "Fine you wanna bet?" He nodded, "You win I'll take you to the Brits." I scoffed, "I'm going to that anyways you wouldn't go without me." "True so you win you get to pick the next date we go on, I win..." "I'll do whatever you want me to for a week." I drew a circle with my finger on his chest. "Deal." "Are we gonna shake on it?" "No, were gonna kiss on it." He pressed his lips against mine and I put my hands on his neck. "Well can you guys like go to your house Maddie or...?" Lauryn asked. I smiled, "Sure, Lauryn." Ash stood up and helped me up. I pulled on my jacket and shoes. I hugged Lauryn, "Bye, Lauryn." "Are you gonna have dinner with us tonight?" She asked. I looked at Ashton longingly. "Maybe..." Ashton answered for me. I nodded and walked out the door. Ashton followed quickly behind. I looked out the window of his car as he pulled out. "Are you ok babe?" He asked. "Yeah...why?" "You look sad...I can't take seeing you sad." "Well I'm not." We drove in silence all the way to my house. When the car stopped I climbed out and walked inside, Ashton closely behind. "I'm home!!!" I flopped down on the couch and Ashton sat next to me. Ashton pulled me closer to him. "Hey!!" Cal smiled walking onto the living room shirtless, with a toothbrush hanging out of his mouth. "Can we hang out here for today?" I asked scrolling through my Instagram feed. "Yeah. Why would you not be able to? It's still your house." Cal laughed. "Oh. Well I kinda meant..." "By ourselves..." Ashton finished for me. "Then, no." He laughed. "Why not?" Ash whined. "Because Maddie's my sister and I will not let you two fuck on my bed." He said sternly. My cheeks got hot and I buried my face in my hands. "Well we wouldn't necessarily fuck on your bed..." Ashton's voice trailed off. I smacked his arm, "Ashton!" He smiled. "Well I guess you win, Maddie." He winked. "What?" "Remember we bet on if Cal would let us have the house or not." "Ohh, I get to pick the next date." "Oh, yeah. So what'll it be?" "Tonight, dinner with your family."
