Arc 2: (Frame)(Needs Editing) Chapter 10

Lyna was starting to get really antsy.

The more time passed, the more of an idiot she made of herself and she was beginning to panic. No matter how many times she'd done it (three actually), confessing to a pretty girl that she liked her was always a daunting task. She never knew how to approach these things, and inevitably made it awkward for all parties involved, in the end. To add onto her list of worries, James had been staring at her like a creeper for the past few minutes. A smile crept across his face and Lyna suddenly felt concerned for her life and well-being.

Choosing to ignore her strange friend, she proceeded to continue panicking about what to do as she received her ice cream. The raven haired girl eagerly received her cookies and cream, paid and walked away, delicately licking the ice cream. All four of them were content as they lapped at their ice cream, but as they started back to Jewels' house, Lyna decided that she could take a chance.

She reached out her palm brushing the back of Jewels' hand before grasping it lightly. She made an effort to continue sounding casual as she continued her conversation with Chika. Lyna waited for Jewels to tug her hand free with the tiny amused smile she usually gave. Instead, she received a gentle smile before Jewels returned her attention to James.

Lyna knew she looked like a complete idiot smiling dumbly all the back home. But she couldn't allow herself to focus on that. She simply was too happy.

'Home.' she noted to herself in surprise. Then again, Jewels' place had definitely begun feeling like home recently. She had a bubbly sister (Chika), and crazy brother (James), a helicopter parent (Amelia) and the crush she's attempting to work up the nerve to kiss (Jewels of course) all under the same roof.

A crazy little family.

When they entered the living room they started to play The Michael Jackson Experience as Chika was still wary of the Riftworm. After they turned on the Wii, the game was on. It was a fun time. The competition was starting off as James vs. Chika once more.

They got extremely energetic participating in 'Beat It'. Chika actually managed to almost canter into the audience causing them to abort their positions before laughing heartily.

Lyna had then gone up against James and the two faced off in 'Smooth Criminal'. James ended up winning as he was able to do the impossible move, while for Lyna it would require that she had flawless balance and that gravity didn't exist.

Jewels had then gone up against James choosing the song 'Black and White'. Surprisingly, she won but Jewels admitted had it been almost any other song she'd have lost pitifully. James was truly the Michael Jackson Experience master.

James ended up beating Jewels anyways when he chose 'Smooth Criminal' again. The girl had no grudge against him. Instead she gracefully accepted her defeat and handed over the controller. Lyna felt relieved that there was at least one game Jewels wasn't a master at.

Lyna and Chika chose to play 'Workin' Day and Night', they danced around laughing in joy at times completely overdoing it. They managed to completely exhaust themselves and sat on the couch laughing as James and Jewels played again.

James then sat down by the lynx and they watched Chika and Jewels face off. It was even more hilarious as Jewels was feeling lazy so she sat on the floor simply shaking the Wii controller to the beat started earning more points than Chika who was dancing around freely.

They laughed loudly at the pouting canine when she lost by 200 points to the younger girl who giggled before apologizing to her friend.

Lyna then took up the challenge with Jewels to perform 'The Girl is Mine.' They didn't do half bad before Jewels stole the game. She chose to dance to 'Bad' and seemed to be having the time of her life. They all chose to dance along even without the controller.
