"Two exams down, a lot more to go." James yawned as they exited the history classroom.
"Thank you Jewels for looking up yellow journalism or I'd never have gotten that question." Chika said with relief clear in her tone.
"Thank Lyna for letting us know the teachers were trying to screw us over." Jewels responded.
"Time to relax." Lyna sighed showing she was paying zero attention to the conversation. "Advisory, here we come."
"Only until lunch. Then we have College Bio right after." James reminded her.
"Why did I agree to College Biology again?" Lyna asked aloud.
"Because when you were given the chance to switch classes, Jewels was in College Biology." James deadpanned.
"Then you and I have IT tomorrow morning." Jewels reminded James. The raccoon groaned loudly.
"It's too early to be doing anything resembling coding." he whined.
"Sucks to be you guys." Chika said smugly. "I have Spanish."
"Which you're fluent in and so you spend the class bullcrapping around you jerk." Jewels pouted.
"And then there's me with art." Lyna chuckled.
They wandered into their advisory classroom not all too concerned. Miss Mandias (a chocolate brown cocker spaniel) was a sweet woman. She was gentle and kind if competitive.
She also loved cooking and often made snacks for her advisory class.
"She spoils us." James said gleefully grabbing a brownie.
"Mmm..." was Chika's ultimate response.
"Hi Miss Mandias." Jewels greeted sweetly. The woman walked over and hugged her.
"Hi Jewels." she was smiled at warmly.
"Are we watching a movie today?" Jewels asked ignoring Chika's cough that sounded a lot like 'suck up.'
"Yes, I'm playing Jumanji."
"Oh, I hope I get to see the whole thing this time then." Jewels mused.
"You've watched it before?" she was asked.
"I tried, but it was late and I fell asleep." Jewels reported sheepishly. Miss Mandias laughed.
"Well try not to sleep on it this time." she said, her tone mocking a stern voice.
Jewels giggled in response.
"Yes Ma'am." she said happily.
Their teacher smiled at her one last time before moving to greet the other students.
"Suck up." James informed bluntly.
"You tell me that every time." Jewels said exasperatedly.
"I have to make sure you know and remember that you're a freaking suck up and a teacher's pet." James huffed.
"Watch it, this teacher's pet will kick you in the throat." Jewels warned.
"Careful, she's not kidding." Chika winced.
"She's kicked you in the throat?" Lyna yelped in alarm.
"No but she has drop kicked me for being an unreasonable jerk." Chika admitted. After noticing Lyna's confused expression she elaborated.
"I was being stupid and jealous insisting her and James were a thing and just conveniently forgot about the sibling bond they had."
"Ah." Lyna mused.
