*╚═══❖•ೋ° °ೋ•❖═══╝*She wiggled her toes under the fresh water, feeling the ripples around her bare feet. She looked down to look at her reflection, her rippling reflection that reminded her of how broken she was.
A warm smile formed across her face, lips curving upwards as it quivered. She shuts her eyes close as droplets of tears trickle down her rosy cheeks.
I'm going to do it.
I must do it.
She lifts herself up from the wooden planks, ready to dive into the fresh water of the sparkling lake. Only to once again rest herself down. She couldn't do it.
After all the pep talk she's been doing, she still couldn't manage to do it.
She sighs, another tear dripping down her face. Moments later, she breaks into soft sobs while multiple thoughts went surging through her mind.
"I saw that." A deep, soothing voice came from behind her, slightly chuckling.
She stopped herself before she could turn around to face the foreign voice. She hides her face with her two hands, trying to cover the embarrassment that she is.
Her heart starts to quicken it's pace as she hears footsteps getting closer towards her direction.
She scoots to her right as she felt a presence suddenly appear from her left.
"What's your name?" He asked, slightly leaning to the slouching female figure, wearing a small smile on his face.
She simply shook her head as if telling the male that she doesn't want to tell him her name. She was still covering her face, her head tilted downwards.
"Okay then. I'll just call you pretty."
She was suddenly shocked. She almost looked up to him until she stopped herself. She turned to her right, trying to avoid his gaze and attention.
"W–why did you c–call me, p–pretty? You haven't even s–seen my face."
She kept stuttering, she knew that he didn't mean it when he called her pretty, but she felt as if she was being complimented by someone.
"Wow."
"Your voice sounds so sweet."
He couldn't help but smile at the adorable actions of the female. It was the first time that he felt comfortable at the idea of having a casual conversation.
"Thank you."
That was all that she could reply with. She was still avoiding his gaze. Her face still blushing red.
"Why did you do that?" He asked with a concerned tone to his voice. He tried to take a glance at the bashful female's face but to no avail.
"Do what?" She sounded annoyed. She didn't like it when people asked her about things that they didn't have the need to know about.
"You know..."
"...why did you attempt to kill yourself?" He sounded unsure of what he was asking. But he knew damn well that she was trying to kill herself. His charming smile slowly faltered, realizing what he's just asked.
She chuckled a little before giving him a response."Was is that obvious?"
His smile returned as he heard her soft chuckles. "That your life is a total mess? I think I can tell when someone's trying to kill themselves."
"Why is that?" The tremor in her voice had finally toned down, the trembling feeling that she once had was slowly fading away, an indication that she was now comfortable with him around.
"I've seen it all before."
"Who was it? Your sister? Brother? Cousin?" She sarcastically asked in attempt to lighten up the mood. She knew damn well that she had done an awful job at trying to create humor.
"Me."
