The sheet felt like a comforting embrace
as it wrapped around her body.
She was drifting in that wonderful place
between sleep and consciousness.
She thought she heard a whisper
that reminded her of someone.
A distant memory of happiness
the feeling when love has just begun.
Her heart was full and beating
for a lover she once knew
when alas the sleep did take her
along with all memories of you.
