In the pandemonium of the Dehradun airport, he sat playing with his watch on his wrist; it was the day he was to leave his town as well as his life behind to lead a new life. A life where he would be his own companion while the woman of his heart would forever stay away from him. He wasn't complaining though; he knew he deserved this punishment of love.

Not everyone is lucky to have the people they love for life.

Some have to let go in order for them to have a life they want because that's what true love means; to be selfless enough to understand the needs of your partner. He was late enough surely, but now he would do what it is right.

He'll honour his Pari's wishes; her choices and would support her the way a true companion should support his woman.

The decision was tough; but not impossible.

He wanted to bid her bye before the announcement of the flight is made, but there was no sign of her. More like, she hasn't talked to him since that night where he made that out of world announcement. He hadn't given her the chance to say or ask something; he had stormed out of her house angry at her for even thinking that he wanted another woman in his life.

And since then he hoped to have a talk with her, but he felt like she won't talk to him, so he didn't even disturb her; instead did his arrangements with the help of his boss as well as his in-laws. Ex in-laws, and now new parents if he may say correctly; at least they considered him worth enough of something unlike how own parents who only ruined his life with no where to hide his face.

"She won't come. Will she?" He asked Mr and Mrs Oberoi who sat beside him.

"She is as stubborn as her mother. So, I doubt, she would." Mr Oberoi joked earning a slap on his back from his wife.

"She will come, Sameer. I know my daughter well." Mrs Oberoi assured.

He sighed and started to pace around with his eyes continuously shifting from the departure section to the arrival. And just then he saw his woman making her way to him amidst the people with frowns on her forehead like she thought she missed bidding him farewell.

"Dad, you lost. Mom won." He announced grinning making the old man sulk as his wife gave him a knowing smile.

Seeing Pari make her way towards Sameer, they decided to leave not wanting to interrupt on the small time they could spend with the other. They knew it was complicated between them, but there was something that didn't allowed them to just shun the other away despite everything that happened.

Though, they knew clearly that it was like breaking a brick now to make Pari love Sameer, but they understood both their issues and allowed them to lead their lives the way they wanted rather butting in to burden the two people who already had their shares of tragedies.

"Hi." Sameer greeted as Pari approached him.

"Hi." She wished looking away. He held her wrist, and made her sit on the chair, before taking his place beside her.

"Did you finish the formalities?" She asked breaking the silence between them.

"Yeah." He played with the bangle on her wrist, and she watched his lips curl into a smile.

"Why're you smiling?"

Swivelling his head, he raised his brow, and replied, "Are you worried some female would get impressed by my smile?"

She hit his bicep making him chuckle.

"Your smile is not that impressive that females would run after you." She said humourlessly. He shook his head at her and rested his back on the chair, crossing his one leg over the other, and she looked around trying to distract herself from him.
