i actually have some relatively interesting things to say today omg

first, i'm sorry for throwing Lance under the bus first, but i can assure you that everyone will have their turnnn

next, a warning: they read an entry from Rosaleen's diary in this chapter, and Rosaleen's mouth really needs to be washed out with soap. so definitely beware of the excessive amounts of swearing and otherwise offensive language. you'll especially find what i'm talking about when Rosaleen talks about Wyatte and a little bit when she talks about Lucia.

finally, i feel like a horrible person after writing this :/// Rosaleen is so mean all the time for no reason >:(((

Aisha was not interesting in all the old entries. She was not interested in the excessive amounts of named scrawled into the margins, all with hearts around them. She'll admit she was slightly interesting in the entry from about a month ago that detailed Rosaleen finding "some pathetic bitch crying in the bathroom during 3rd period", but she flipped past it anyway.

Aisha flipped directly to the newest entry. She glanced around, looking at all the expectant faces around her. She cleared her throat, realizing they all expected her to read. She stared down at words written on the pages, and plucked a loose red hair from the pages. Flicking the hair to the side, she realized very suddenly that it had been a strand of Rosaleen's hair.

She shook her head, turning her attention back to the diary.

"Monday, March 19th..."

"These past two or three weeks have just been completely filled. I've barely had any time to write anything in this damn journal. My therapist would not be happy with me. He's the reason I got this diary in the first place, but I think I've said that before. Which reminds me, I have a meeting with him tomorrow. Ew.

"Anyways, busy busy busy. Aside from my regular shit, I can feel that nerdy kid glaring at me every time he passes me in the hallways. I always make sure to give him the sweetest, most innocent smile that I possibly can. I know how much it pisses him off."

Arthur seemed very upset. No one really noticed it, though...

Aisha paused for a second, reading the next paragraph.

"Uh... L-Lucia?" She motioned for Lucia to come over, "You might want to see this before I read it out loud. I think..."

Lucia quickly scanned over the diary, leaning over Aisha's shoulder. All the color drained from her face.

"Lucia...?"

"You know what?" Lucia suddenly hissed, face going red with anger. She turned away, throwing her hands in the air. "Read it! I don't care! "

"Lucia is back with her old bullshit again. It's not my fault that her mom's a hoe, and it's definitely not my fault that her brother got himself put in jail. I just don't know what's wrong with her. What did I ever do to her?"

Lucia was still facing away from everyone, trying to hide the tears that had formed in her eyes. Sam stepped up behind her, trying to offer her support, but Lucia didn't react.

Aisha's face fell, but she kept reading. Except, it didn't get any better. Not at all...

"This was a while ago, but I walked past one of those queer kids' lockers. It looked like someone took a bunch of screenshots of my video, printed them off, and stuck them to his locker. Yeah, he was frantically ripping the papers off and stuffing them into the trash. He wouldn't look me in the eyes as I walked past. Not even when I asked how him and his boyfriend were doing."

"I really haven't seen much of Sam recently. I invited her to a party Tuesday night, but she never responded to my text. When she wasn't at school on Wednesday or Thursday, I found out that she was in the hospital! On Friday, she sounded really sick and she told me that she got a really bad lung infection. Ooh, that reminds me, I have to ask her where she got that adorable turtle-neck."

"Which means that I've seen Evan a lot. I really don't know why, but he always avoids me when Sam is around. I keep trying to invite him to a party, you know? Get him out of the house a little bit? I keep telling him there will probably be at least a little bit of dope there, but he just won't budge."

"Having that girl on my side is actually really useful. I know I can be pretty intimidating most of the time, but it's a lot better when I don't have to scare nerds into doing my homework myself. If a teacher ever caught me doing it, I'd be royally fucked. So, having her do whatever I want is a really good thing. I wonder how far I could push her before she snapped...?"

"I've been spending a lot of time with Aaron lately. He's really hot. He blew me a kiss in chemistry the other day, so I pretended to catch it. I think I'm very interested in seeing where this goes."

To put it at its simplest, no one was happy after Aisha finished reading. She hesitated, noticing another 3 sentences scrawled messily at the bottom.

"Oh wait, someone is texting me. They're telling me to meet them in the cabin in the forest. Well, if I--"

Aisha froze, not able to continue to read the next sentence. She closed the diary, set it down and blinked.

"What? What does it say?" Lucia asked, "How does the sentence end?"

Aisha didn't respond for a while, shaking her head. Lucia pressed.

"It says, 'If I go missing, know that I was murdered'," Aisha blurted out suddenly.

Everyone fell silent immediately, and Sam's face went pale. She swayed on her feet, and then fell backwards. Arthur, very heroically, leaped out of the way of Sam's now-limp self, letting her smack onto the floor. He cursed very loudly afterwards, realizing what he had done. He dropped onto the floor beside her.

Her eyes were closed, but her chest--which he had looked at for purely medical purposes--was rising and falling regularly.

"Guys, let her breathe...!" Arthur hissed, as the crowd slowly backed away. Evan had appeared on Sam's other side, and Arthur didn't say anything about this.

Arthur snapped his fingers rapidly in Sam's face, but there was no response from Sam.

"What?" Sam suddenly asked, eyes snapping open, "What happened?"

"Y-You passed out," Evan said softly, blinking at her, "Aisha was reading, and you just... fell."

Sam was sitting, much to Evan's dislike. She looked around cautiously, peering at all of the faces of everyone around her. Everyone looked so worried.

"I-I'm fine, you guys," she insisted, even long after everyone had stopped asking her. "I really am!"
