Just over a week passed, a Monday in early April. Prom would be on Friday. By that point, it was set in stone who was and wasn't going. Tickets had already been purchased, dresses and tuxes had been bought, limos had been rented, and all the mess had been sorted and properly dealt with.

Everyone in the group had bought their own tickets, with two obvious exceptions. Evan and Arthur had both paid back their respective ladies afterwards.

Wyatte and Jasper had a minor argument over who was going to pay for the tickets--both of them wanting to do so--but that was an argument that Wyatte won. Jasper had tried to offer that they just pay for their OWN tickets once he realized he wasn't going to win, but Wyatte had insisted.

Communication had been kept up. Mostly meaning that Wyatte had told everyone that he was successful. He did not mention that he might end up ditching at some point, if that's what Jasper wanted.

Sam was beyond excited. She absolutely radiated thrill. She buzzed with passion. She might as well have been skipping down the hallways.

Lance noticed this, but he didn't have to ask. All of Sam's friends however...

"Sam, what is up with you?" He couldn't remember this girl's name.

Sam's friends were also Rosaleen's friends, and Lance didn't really like Rosaleen's friends. Rosaleen had never minded this. If Lance were to try to get close to any of her friends, Rosaleen probably would've accused him of cheating on her. So Lance had kept his distance.
