Lost |Chapter 6|

- Kaneki's POV -

I jolted awake, raising my head up but I banged my head a stone roof that was lowered. I let out a small yelp, stunned for a split second.

"Rin!?" I intentionally yelled out, ignoring the throbbing pain coming from my head as I dragged myself away from the thing I hit my head on.

It only now just hit me that I wasn't even at my house, in fact I was in a cell as if I was a prisoner. My shoes were gone, my bare feet were chilled from the coldness of the floor of the dark cell. I panicked, running up to the metal bars, trying to pull them or bend them, but I couldn't. To add onto that my hands felt numb....actually....my entire body felt numb.

"L-let me out!!" I yelled, but there was no response, my cry for help just echoed across the room.

Memories dug themselves back up from when I was tortured by Jason, I didn't want that to happen again. I started to panic even more, as if being hit by anxiety.

'Wait Kaneki think....Use your Kagune, that's the logical solution...' I thought, trying to calm myself down.

I took a step backwards, and tried to release my Rinkaku Kagune, but nothing would come out. Suddenly pain shot through me, as if I was being injected with lava, it burned!

"Agh!!" I let out a startled screech, it seems whenever I tried to use my Kagune it would have a burning feeling.

I really didn't care if I had to take the pain again to save my friend, I will not lose Rin, I can't! I will eat my way out of here if I have to! I could feel some tears well in the corner of my eyes, but I wiped them away quickly....I needed to think of something...

- Rin's POV -

I woke up, blinking my eyes open slowly, I couldn't see much since it was blurry....or maybe the fact it was dark....Wait....Why is it dark...? I shook my head, clearing my vision, I was in a dim lit room, that was dead quiet.

"Uh....Kaneki....Yukio...?!" I called out, I tried to get up but utterly failed to realize I was strapped to a chair, as well as handcuffed to it, "...hey wait a minute....why am I tied up?! This isn't funny!"

"....sheesh even injecting you twice isn't enough....you're really somethin' kid, even for a demon..." A new voice grumbled, it sounded like it was getting closer to me.

Besides the chains clinging together, the only sound I could hear was the new voice's footsteps, and before long I could sense an aura in the air....almost like Kaneki's aura. Not too long after, a guy approached me, he looked pretty off, the only thing looking genetically normal was his blonde hair and face.

"Who are you..?!" I made an outburst before he could even continue what he had brought up earlier.

"Unfortunately for you I won't answer that question, although I'm just wanting to see your flames." The unknown guy replied, he sounded unenthusiastic.

'My flames...' I thought, unsure of how this guy knew I was the son of satan, I twitched in the chair, trying to crane my neck, it took me less than a millisecond to realize my sword was still there, 'Wait is he gonna take my sword?!'

"Come on...no time to waste..." The guy got closer to me, he walked slowly on purpose I think, "If you don't hurry up I'm gonna have to bring out a knife..."

"Stop it!!" I yelled, I was losing my temper which caused me to burst out into blue flames, as I bared my long fangs, "Where is Kaneki!"

The guy chuckled, scratching the back of his head, "That was easy....for me at least..."

"I said where is Kaneki!" I repeated, raising my voice even more than before, I was practically screeching.

The guy didn't flinch, but he narrowed his eyes, "That friend of yours....he's alive, that's all I'm saying... for now..."

"Get over here and face me, you coward!" I retorted, trying desperately to escape the chains but I couldn't.

The guy got closer, I could tell he hid something behind his back, "Say it again I dare you...!"

"Face me...!" I growled, whipping my head around a bit.

I probably shouldn't have said that, because the next second I felt a grenade shape hit me in the head, and it exploded into water. I was immediately hit with pain, my skin burned harshly, as if it was melting, it took me a minute to realize this wasn't normal water....it was holy water.

"Agh!!!" I screeched, shaking violently, trying to escape this endless amount of pain.

'Kaneki.....he better not....do this to you too...' I thought, closing my eyes because I could feel holy water dripping down from my forehead, threatening to slip onto my eyes.

"Looks like my hand must've slipped....whoops!" The guy chuckled, but before I could retort any further, he slipped a knife from his pocket, and stabbed me in the centre of the chest.

I screamed louder than I've ever done in my life, my screaming was cut off by a mouthful of blood coming out of my mouth, as I coughed it out onto the steel floor. Blood stained my white dress shirt, and I struggled. Why was this happening to me?!

- Kaneki's POV -

I whipped my head around as I heard screaming echo in the distance, my sensitive ears picked it up and I twitched, because I knew....it was Rin.

"R-Rin....no!!" I yelled, but knew how hopeless it was because I couldn't even get to him.

My strength was disabled, and my Kagune just wouldn't come out. It was from an injection that I remember Jason gave to me before, it was the same substance I just knew it. Even knowing this I still didn't stop trying, I pulled as hard as I could, until I was interrupted my a noise...it was my stomach. I had forgotten to eat something....I needed flesh, or I'd starve..
