- Rin's POV -"Aha....how do you expect us to trust you..." I challenged, not trusting these ghouls yet after the attack.
"Draw the sword kid, then see if I'm lying." The black haired girl retorted in a low tone, as she helped the red haired girl up.
"Alright then!" I grabbed the red sash from my shoulder and took my sword out, unsheathing it.
Except....nothing came out of it. No flames, no demonic features. Just a plain old sword.....Wait a minute this isn't even metal!
"What the-how The...Where are the flames!?!" I blurted out in utter confusion, smacking my sword to see if it would magically spark up for no reason at all.
Kaneki seemed somewhat nervous, I gave a glance at him but then looked back at the girls.
"Believe us now....that sword is a fake...." The black haired girl responded.
My mind was blown, I just stood there wide eyed, and shocked. "B-but....wha...?!"
"That blonde freak took it, now are you with us or not?!" The red haired girl finally butt into the conversation, her wounds had healed quickly.
"Yeah...sure, Fine." I was acting somewhat stubborn, as I gave a frown.
- Kaneki's POV -
'So....I had Rin's real sword all this time...?' I wondered, debating on whether I should say something now.
I kind of felt guilty for hurting the two girls now, but I really needed to get all that overwhelming energy out of me as well, so I guess that worked out.
"So....why are we even here...what did any of us do wrong..?!" I randomly blurted out, I needed an answer now.
"That guy is a half ghoul, he captures Ghouls and forces them to fight for his own entertainment." The black haired girl responded, then pointed at Rin, "You on the other hand are different, you're a demon, he clearly failed to keep you in an angered state or your white haired friend would've been burned to nothingness."
I wanted to shudder at the thought of being burned alive, but I didn't want to offend Rin in any sort of way, so I didn't
"Enough wasting time and just explain while we run!" I could tell the red haired girl was getting highly impatient.
The red haired girl darted off without even saying anything, I could tell she really hated this place, so I gave her a bit of pity. We all ran after her, I could feel my stomach churn because I didn't know what to expect. We all stopped once we reached the door, and I felt myself get shoved forward by the red haired girl.
"Our Kagunes haven't regenerated yet, and it's your fault, so you'll be the one breaking this giant door down..!" The red haired girl almost hissed, still impatient.
"You don't have to push him around...?" I heard Rin retort, yet he sounded puzzled.
I just gave a slight nod, I whispered a quiet thank you under my breath, since we'd all be doomed if I hadn't bitten into Rin's arm. My left eye turned to Kakugan and my Rinkaku Kagune came out again, as I blasted a large hole through the door.
"Be cautious, we're not the only ones here..." The black haired girl warned, as she ran through the hole.
You know what, I like the black haired girl more than the red haired girl, she is actually patient and thus we get along better. I hate to judge but it's true.
"What's that...?" Rin suddenly spoke, pointing at something.
"What's What...?!" The red haired girl turned to Rin.
I turned to what Rin was pointing at, and saw that the hole I blew through the door was dripping a blackish brown substance.
"What is that...!?" I yelped, getting my Kagune ready.
I think Rin forgot his sword was a fake, because he tried to draw it and completely failed.
"Oh, em....whoops...screw this thing..!" Rin threw the fake sword behind him, almost hitting the red haired girl in the face.
"Watch it!" The red haired girl grunted, dodging the flying sword as it hit the ground behind us, "Are you two hallucinating...?!"
"I don't see anything either...?" The black haired girl was honest, and confused.
This was strange....why couldn't they see it..? Rin and I could clearly see this ooze dripping, yet they couldn't?
- Rin's POV -
Oh wait a minute, I know why they can't see the thing...it's a demon! Duh. Wait why is there even a demon here in the first place? Oh well, I'd figure that out later, but for now it's sort of creeping closer!
"Uh...So.....here's the problem." I awkwardly started to back away, bumping into Kaneki by accident, "Erm...you guys ain't gotta demon temptation thingy, so....you can't really see this thing...eheh..."
"So....What you're saying is-hey Wait!" The black haired girl was cut off as the red haired girl started to run.
"I don't have time for this, you guys can die by wasting time, I'm escaping with or without you!" The red haired girl spat, running faster.
"That little lying backstabber...." the black haired girl muttered, "Let her go, it's better this way..."
"Yeah, okay-oh god!" The demon was practically oozing it's way up Kaneki's arm, covering it completely, "Kaneki!"
I sparked up into blue flames, I wasn't the best at controlling them this way but I know I won't burn my friend. These are my flames....I told myself that.
"Don't touch my friend!" I growled a bit, burning most of the demon off of Kaneki's arm.
The demon let out a screech, and it went away....I think. I couldn't see any of it.
"You okay...?" I asked, putting my hand on Kaneki's shoulder, since he was panting a bit.
"Y-yeah....Sorry." Kaneki took a deep breath, then sighed in relief.
"Alright then...we broke the first wall, if we keep going forward we should be outside." The black haired girl spoke.
Before we got a chance to do much, a loud, blaring alarm went off, which pierced my ears....ow!
"...it's him..." The black haired girl muttered under her breath, "Get ready.."
