So, almost every year for Mother's day, my mom complains that I NEVER get her anything, even though for the past three years ive DEFINITELY got her something.
Sure enough, this year rolls around and GUESS who's under the hotspots for "never getting their beloved mother" a gift?
ME
But that will soon change with the present I have this year!!
Since none of y'all should know my mom, she absolutely ADORES Winnie the Pooh and anything associated with them.
So...
Guess who's getting favorite child status for once?~

THATS WHO
*maniacal laughter in the corner*

Anywho...
I busted my butt this week and last sculpting, repairing, drying cleaning and painting this two pounds hunk of clay. Im even pulling strings so it gets fired in time to bring home!
...Let's just hope this doesnt just end up under a stack of papers to be forgotton like LAST year's gift...
TOO BE UPDATED AFTER PROJECT IS FINISHED!

***FINALLY UPDATING!!***
Yea yea ik Mother's Day was forever ago and i promised quick updates on this project but...yea i have no excuses.
Anywho...here's the relief in all its shiny glory!

Tbh i was slap-sticking most of this project together cause i only had a week to do it (versus a normal 2-3 weeks for a project of this size and complexity) Its a full on out miracle all the colors came out so splendidly

Its a full on out miracle all the colors came out so splendidly. It actually looks intentional too! XD You cant tell much but there's some different bark cor textures on the tree, and a gentle ombre to the sky. Like usual, it looks better in person...thankfully, this photo isnt too bad!
but tbh, thats a great moment in art, when you do whatever shit comes to mind first and then out comes a masterpiece that looks like it was so well thought out.
Oh. And for those of you who are curious, nosy little cats like me, my mom was not all that impressed with my relief after all at initial giving... *cries in the corner from the memories*
She said she liked it and all, but have you ever ever heard your friend say "Oh yea, ive seen that show..." and you can just tell they're lying...?
Bingo.
...however, i did get a better reaction after i brought it back home after glazing it to be shiny...STILL, it hurts kinda. Especially when LAST year's gift is still rolled up on her desk.
