ALRIGHTY so today im goin through how i, Chat doodle, draw my hoods. This will only be the torso and up, cause like hell if i wanna go over cloaks or mess with whole bodies.

Alright so here i have 3 already sketched out busts of Chat (when its depictibg only the shoulders and up) in three different angles

I gave them each different facial expressions so i can also validate having different ear postures. Your Chats cam have any expression you want, but MAKE SURE AT LEAST THE BASICS ARE SKETCHED BEFORE YOU START THE HOOD AND HAIR. Just the eyes and maybe eyebrows will work if youre lazy. Mouth can come in later iyw. You always want clothing and hair done after the facial structure and body are done being sketched. It just helps, okay?

We're gonna start the hood off by the ears. If you dont want ears on your hood then skip this part for rn. Ive said it before and ill say it again. Guidlines are angels in art. Use them often.
Animal ears are fun to do, cause unlike human ears they move or swivel around to show emotion. Its one of the reasons why i like to draw Chat so much rather than LB. Easier to show lively emotion with his ears. So be creative with your ear positioning, and keep in mind the emotion you want your Chat portraying!

Buffed out dem ears, making then triangle shapes now. Let it be organic! And by that i mean dont use straight lines. Straight lines give you robots. Curved lines (even if its only kinda curved) gives it a more natural, organic feel.
This is ALSO where i like to draw the cloak fastener (aka bell), just so i know where my hood front will end.
I like my fastener more to Chat's right shoulder. But for the front profile view i put it in the center for those who'd rather that.
