Step one is to move S to the other side

Step one is to move S to the other side. To do that, subtract it fron both sides. Then you have h-s=-16t(2) +vt-h

To get rid of the H on that side, you do the same, so now its just a -S on its own on one side of the equation, and -H on the other.

That S cant be negative. So multiply EVERYTHING by -1 to reverse it. Thibk of ut like sharing cookies. EVERYONE wants a negatuve 1 cookie so pass them along.
Then you have the last equation.

PART TWO!

Okay so it gave you the values for V, T, and since S is the height already traveled or whatever, all ya gotta do multiply the velocity of the object and the time falling

Okay so it gave you the values for V, T, and since S is the height already traveled or whatever, all ya gotta do multiply the velocity of the object and the time falling. That's how far the object has already fallen. Then you just gotta plugin the values and chug.

Now im like fairly certain the height isnt negative. But id bet a doodle that that is the answer...but positive. I likely forgot to factor in a negative value somewhere.
Buuut if this were MY homework, id write positive 468 ft as my answer.
