Via internet searching ive come to the conclusion this tiny vulture looking thing is a bird really common here in my state. A Great tailed Grackle. (Or Mexican Grackle, even though over 60% live in the us...) They look like tiny ravens/crows as adults, and depending on gender they're black or brown.
Quick off topic question, but who looks at a tiny raven and thinks, "Hmm...you know what would be a great name to call this bird? A GrACkLe!!
Regardless of what its called, i am now a cat dad to baby birds...
Again...
Anyways...this guy actually REEKED of funk when he came in. Feathers caked with poo. Nasty. Not to mention, he has these little yellow cysts that look like zits on his body, as well as other yellow gross no-idea-what-this-is on his feathers. He doesnt ACT sick whatsoever. He seems perfectly strong, (voice included...he can SQUAWK) but he sure as hell doesnt look it.
Feeding is gonna be fun, because this guy is LOUD. HELLA loud. And because Grackles are omnivores and predators, he has these WICKED claws!! And NOT in a good way he nearly made me bleed when i was cleaning his feathers of poop!
Not to mention he looks like an ostritch.
