🌴Chikka-Chikka BOOM-BOOM!!🌴

Sooo ive already told NerdyPerdyPink about this BUUUUT ive decided to post it too. X3
My mom runs an in-house preschool, and so on particularly artsy things she asks for my help.
For the past five or so years she has had a 'Chikka-Chikka Boom-Boom' palm tree on the wall that i usually make out of paper at the begining of the year, but by the end its faded and falling appart.
If you have never heard of the Chikka Chikka Boom Boom book before, i dont wanna talk to you anymore...its a childhood staple where im from so THERE. *pouts in the corner*

Its unfinished so far. Im gonna keep adding photos as i go along. Hopefukly itll only take me a couple more hours, and then i can maybe take a blessed nap...

....and this is Rosie. The oh-so helpful cat who took my chair when i went to grab a soda. Now im reduced to a tiny preschool chair sooo....
Thanks kitty. Youre an asshole. But too cute to kick off, so i guess you win this round... *glares at cat while petting lovingly*

** And for those of you who are curious... my pigeon children are doing just fine! Theyre no longer ugly balls of feathers, and look like real pigeons! Even flying and everything! We tried to "release" them but now they just live on our porch. Im cool with it. One still chirps at me when he sees me, like hes asking for food. X3
We almost lost one too!! Last night was an awful dust storm, and this morning one was missing!! He was gone for hours before finally showing back up, looking worse for wear and incredibly thirsty. Poor babe...but hes better now! Ill try to post pics later!

UPDATES ON TREE!!

Now we have some leaves in there!!

My mom is sick, so she cant really come over to check on the tree's progress right now, so its a mystery if she will even like or approve it.

FINAL UPDATE ON TREE!!
So yup! Finally done! Took abooouuuuut five hours in total i think. But i also had frequent breaks cause i was purposely trying to drag out this project as long as possible. Anywho...

Looks pretty cute. Little rough on the edges. But it works!
Also, Mom got her first look.

Me, sweating bullets: so, whatcha think?
Mom: ...
Me, trying not to yell at her or look upset/angry: ...
Mom: its...okay.
Me: so you dont like it.
Mom, in that voice she uses when she foesnt like it: no i like it. Its good.
Me dying trying to not use nasty sarcasm: are you sure...? I can repaint if need-
Mom: no its okay. *walks away*
Me: *wonders why i try whydoesliterallynooneinmyhouselikesmyart*

Sooo yea totally not salty anymore ((Warning!! Still salty)) but its done and even if my mom is im not totally ashamed of it.

Im not going to be able to update my story My Kingdom for a Stray for awhile, what with the start of a new school year and all and me having a job (oooh shocker i know) BUT i will try to update the Doodlebook as much as possible.
Dont count on it tho.
