That morning shivaay woke up to the sound of his buzzing alarm. It was already 6 and he was still sleeping. He usually got up very early in the morning but today was late. He had to rush to college for his morning classes for the final year students. He ran to the washroom to get dressed and then entered the kitchen in a swift grabbing some fruits and throwing them into his backpack and started preparing his morning black coffee humming to himself.
Oops had he forgotten something in his busy schedule, he was married and there was another person living here for God sake he finally remembered. But where was she? Was she still sleeping? Or was she awake? He walked towards the room she occupied now and contemplated whether to knock it or not. After all she was new here and it was his responsibility to check on her he thought. He slowly brought his hand to knock on the door still awkwardly not knowing whether a woman would prefer someone intruding into her privacy. His hand just had to touch the door and it opened wide apart. She was not inside the room, that ultimately meant that she had gone out. But why hadn't she thought of informing him, May be she was too held up or busy like him and hence had forgotten to inform him he thought. After all he didn't have any right to interfere into her personal space or question her on her actions, he made up his mind.

Elsewhere Annika was walking on the beach feeling the soft breeze hitting her face and her hair dancing to its tune. She sat on the dune by a rock leaning on to it. It had been her favourite spot. She had always made it a point to come to the beach for a morning walk since the time she was in college. She had found this walk by the sea a stress booster to carry on with the schedule of a busy day ahead.
This had been also her "Me time" for herself everyday, where she thought purely and only about herself, as she had a very little time to think about her life in her present marathon as a doctor. Almost everyday she was always worried about her patients or anxious about the surgeries she did, or how she was gonna handle the patients' relations or thinking of ways to boost her patients' confidence. She didn't complain about it either, she loved it and it had been her life throughout.
But today she was disturbed, she was confused, she didn't know what she wanted or expected from her married life. She thought that the ruffling waves of the sea exactly represented her inner turmoil. She had wanted to inform him that she was going for a morning walk, but when she had knocked his door twice he hadn't opened it. So she thought he might be fast asleep or busy, she hadn't wanted to disturb him more than that. So she had come here to the beach. She didn't know what life held for her more in future but she had to face it.
She stood up from her favourite spot, dusted her kurti and walked towards her car. She had asked her driver to get her car from her flat here in Mumbai today early morning. She wanted to live the independent life she was living earlier, now too. She had to rush to the hospital which was her home in literal sense, she drove her car towards shivaay's flats.

"Good morning sir"
"Good morning" shivaay walked into the college after greeting the security guard. None in the college knew he was married other than a few staff members and the class in which he was the class teacher. He walked into the staff room and was greeted by his best buddy Siddharth who was the science professor in college. Siddharth was one of them who had attended shivaay and Annika's private, sombre wedding function.
"Already in college haan, looks like your new wife kicked you away from home" sid mocked hitting shivaay's shoulder playfully.
"What you are saying is absolutely true sid, she indeed kicked me hard" shivaay replied him back playfully, to it sidharth laughed hard saying "I know about women right,All are the same".
Shivaay smiled back, picked his notes from the cupboard and walked off from the staff room to his class after saying "let's meet in the break sid". Siddhrath nodded to it and went back to reading his book.

Annika reached the flats and saw that the door was already locked. She didn't know what to do or whom to ask help from. After all she was new to this place. She thought of calling Shivaay but alas she didn't know his number. They hadn't exchanged each other's numbers and the times they had spoken, she had done it through her father's mobile phone. She didn't want to call her papa, that'd leave him doubtful that she wasn't happy. But now she had to rush to the hospital and had no way out. She was irritated and confused, her patients must be waiting for her.
A thought suddenly flashed she knew the college shivaay was working in. She had no other option than to go there and meet him. She ran down the stairs to her car. Nothing could stop her love for her profession or the patients who were expecting her. No NOTHING AT ALL.
