6.MOVING💨...

Today Shivaay had accompanied Annika to the beach for her morning walk, in fact he had promised to accompany her here on for her morning walk. And annika had readily agreed to it.

Now Annika and Shivaay were sitting together by Annika's favourite spot near the huge rock enjoying the silent breeze.

"You come here everyday?" Shivaay questioned Annika.

"Always" Annika smiled 

"I love seeing the ruffling waves, I love feeling this soft breeze. And I and papa used to come here every time when we visited Mumbai earlier and then since the time I was in college I continued coming here and still absolutely love it. May be it'd continue forever" Annika added

"Anyways I came to one after a very long time" Shivaay said

"My gauri used to like the beach very much too" shivaay added

"Who is this gauri, your ex girlfriend haan" Annika asked curioulsy

"You are partly correct, she was my first girlfriend" shivaay smiled drawing something on the sand

"Hai, then where she's now? You could've married her and spared me then" Annika laughed

"She was my younger sister" Shivaay glared at Annika.

"Oops Sorry, but What do you mean by "was" my younger sister? Where's she now? I didn't very well know that you had a sister neither did I see her in the wedding" Annika asked confused

Shivaay gave a slight smile seeing Annika and then replied "How could you see her, when she herself is not here?"

"Oh sorry, may be she's abroad then?" Annika asked

"Nope with God" shivaay replied smiling, wiping away the little droplets of tears rolling down his face quickly.

"I'm really sorry shivaay, I didn't mean it" Annika said holding his shoulders moving close to him not knowing what to do, she really felt sorry for him.

"You don't have to be doctor I just wanted to share it with you just like you did about your Maa"

"You don't have to" Annika whispered

"But I want to" replied shivaay and then continued "Mom, dad, gauri and I me went on a family trip as soon as we got our term holidays. We were so happy, we enjoyed a lot and then when we were returning back I and gauri fought about who'd get to sit on the front seat, and Mom and dad asked me to let gauri sit as I was her big brother. I had to comply and then all of a sudden, a lorry came from no where and then that was the end"

"After that I woke up on the hospital bed and didn't know what had happened. Mom said that dad and gauri had gone to God" Shivaay wiped away the rolling tears while Annika felt really bad. She knew the pain of loosing a dear one very well and knowing shivaay too had gone through the same pain made her feel very sorry for the man. A new found respect grew in her heart for him, thinking that someone was sharing his own personal details with her.

"That's alright Shivaay, don't cry please" Annika pleaded but shivaay didn't listen like always he continued,

"Then we filed a case in the courts against the driver, got to know that he was drunk while driving but then mom withdrew the case. She said it was useless to punish him now that dad and gauri were never going to return. And then we dropped the case, I couldn't live no more at home. I started remembering dad and gauri always, I couldn't bear it all and then mum enrolled me in a hostel. But mom never left our house in Delhi saying that it had dad's memories. She visits me for a week or two sometimes here in Mumbai and then returns back to Delhi. She says she misses dad here"

"And then she always longed and wanted a daughter and kept pestering me to get married and then I had to agree to it. Mom finally got you as her daughter. Mom had gone through hell to bring me up, I had to give into her demands of marriage" Shivaay ended his story smiling painfully.

And Annika was lost she was admiring a man for the first time in her life other than her papa. How could someone be so go lucky and happy after all the miseries that he had to go endure. She never thought that she'd admire any man in her life other than her papa but here she was proven wrong today. She also was very impressed by shivaay's honesty.

"Hey doctor stop staring me, I know I look handsome" shivaay smiled and Annika came back to reality

"I wasn't staring at you" Annika retorted back

"Ok, I was just joking. Lets leave its almost time we leave for work" Shivaay said getting up dusting his shirt and Annika nodded her head.

"How is life with Shivaay Anu" Prinku asked an Annika who was busy going through some files in her cabin. Prinku had returned after her regular rounds to meet Annika. She was Annika's best friend and a gynaecologist.

"Its going good prinku. He's really a nice human being" annika replied and went back to her files.

"How is he as a person? Anyways he looks extremely dashing and hot" prinku said like a love sick teenager

"Stop talking like that prinku yuck. I don't know from where you get such words and ideas" Annika reprimanded her

"Looks like someone got jealous that I was admiring her darling husband" priyanka teased

"I said shut up" Annika now replied angrily

"Looks like someone is already in love. Waisae someone said me she wasn't interested and would never be interested in men and now she's cleanly bowled by that professor" prinku laughed sticking her tongue out

"Priyanka I said stop it" Annika now had enough of the teasing.

"Oops someone's cheeks have turned red, I know you fell for his attractive blue green orbs right Anu" prinku continued teasing her.

"I said Shut up prinku. We've just begin our friendship now, we are just friends. There's nothing like you think and there never can be" Annika replied gently.

"Someone said a girl and boy can never be friends. And when the boy is that handsome not happening Anu, you are gonna fall for him" prinku teased and dashed out of the Annika's cabin now scared of Annika's reaction.

Annika got up and shouted "prinku" and then sat down again, knowing that she already had left. She thought about prinku's words, No love was never going to enter her life and she was adamant about it. She'd never fall in love and she was very sure about it.

But a part of what prinku said was right she thought. Shivaay was really handsome and his blue green orbs had indeed made Annika wonder at times on what colour they really were. Shivaay was a very good person she agreed. But he could only always be her friend may be her best friend one day or may be her husband finally one fine day, but never could he become her love. Yes Shivaay could never become her love because she knew that love was pretty useless and a vague concept only present in fairy tales. She was a practical lady after all.

"Madam your patient is here" the staff boy informed her

"Let her in" Annika replied.

~~~"She'd never fall in love it seems, Huh! she must be kidding. She'd definitely fall head over heels in love with him. Mark my word readers. Oops I forgot to say who I were. Hello I'm Destiny. Lets together see how they fall in love. What say guys😉"~~~
