The awarding ceremony began with the chief guest addressing the crowd and then moving onto the distribution of the awards. Each award winner were handed over their respective trophies followed by each of them giving a small speech on their success story. It was then time for the "youngest achiever award", and Shivaay Singh oberoi was called onto the stage to receive the award for this particular category.
As soon as Shivaay's name was called out, Pinky clapped her hands enthusiastically with tears in her eyes. Shivaay climbed the stage, shook hands with the award presenter, received it and then started his speech. He began with a smile;
"I would definitely for my entire life time dedicate this award to my mom who is sitting over there" shivaay spoke pointing his hand towards Pinky who had tears rolling down her eyes, Annika held Pinky by her shoulders stroking her back. Annika was overwhelmed to see such a good son in Shivaay who respected his mother. She was extremely proud of him.
"Mom did everything for me single handedly when dad was no more around. So thank you mom, you mean the entire world to me. I've actually worked very hard for this award for the past five years, but looks like lady luck finally walked into my life this year coz of my wife. So yeah thankyou everybody" Shivaay finished his speech with a smile and got down the stage.
Annika was shocked at Shivaay's last few lines. He had referred to her as his "lady luck", none had called her as such, other than her papa. Unknown to her, small drops of tears were making way through her eyes. She wiped off the tears away quickly and sat through the function with a contented smile and a peaceful feeling.

After the award ceremony ended, there were many people congratulating Shivaay. Annika tried reaching him out, but then decided against it and stood there with Pinky until Shivaay would himself come here. She didn't want to disturb him.
"When will billu come?, I've to reach the airport in an hour" Pinky kept mumbling.
Pinky was to leave back to Delhi tonight by flight, she had come here only for two days and due to her star luck the function had fallen when she had been here and Pinky was happy about it. After all she was dealing with her husband's business all alone. She didn't absolutely have any spare time than days like these. She had thought to visit her daughter in law once when she had indeed got the time. So now she had to rush back to Delhi, home was calling her. But Shivaay had always been detached from anything that had to do with business from his childhood, hence Pinky or Shakti had made it a point to never reinforce anything related to business on Shivaay.
"Wait ill call him now, I'm getting late" Pinky mumbled dialling his number on phone.
"Billu come here now, I've to reach the airport" Pinky commanded and cut the phone.
Shivaay was actually caught up in between the guests who had wanted to congratulate him. He had wanted to go to his mom and Annika but then he hadn't been able to find a way to excuse himself from the crowd, but now that he found the opportunity he excused himself and walked towards the place where his mom and Annika were standing.
"Finally you found the time" Pinky exclaimed pulling in him for a hug uttering a congratulations and "am proud of you", patting his back. Shivaay kissed pinky's cheeks and wiped away the tears from her mom's face. Annika stood there adoring the scene, she remembered her mom and wished she were here today.
"Achcha theekae, enough of the buttering, let's leave, I've to reach the airport. Come soon" Pinky spoke and walk off from the entrance.
Shivaay then turned to Annika smiling awkwardly.
