Harshvardhan had been unconscious the whole night due to the drugs and Anaesthetic that were administered.

The next morning Harshvardhan opened his eyes to see Annika standing close behind him administering the saline bottle, while Shivaay was sitting besides the bed on a high stool.

"How are you feeling uncle?" Shivaay asked holding his hand concerned, as soon as he saw him opening his eyes. Annika was busy on the saline bottle, she didn't even give her dad a glance. She was very angry at him.

Harshvardhan gave Shivaay a smile and tried to remove the oxygen mask to speak something.

"Papa no, don't even try to remove it" came Annika's strict voice even without looking at harshvardhan.

Harshvardhan turned to Shivaay for help.

"Doctor he wants to speak something, leave him alone for a while" Shivaay requested Annika, and then removed the oxygen mask even without waiting for Annika's consent.

"Looks like she's angry" Harshvardhan whispered to Shivaay in his meek tone, tightening his grip on Shivaay's hand

"Hmm" Shivaay replied with a playful smile

"She becomes an exploding volcano whenever she's angry" Harshvardhan said

"Too scary she necomes. I've experienced it too" Shivaay whispered in harshvardhan's ears, making sure Annika would not hear anything

"She literally tries to eat me up" Harshvardhan replied with a weak mocking laugh.

"Are you both bad mouthing me, that too right in front of me" Annika questioned sarcastically crossing her arms

"No doctor, No" Shivaay shook his head innocently with a smile

"Do you think you've the guts to do so" Annika retorted back angrily

"Absolutely No Doctor. Promise" Shivaay replied looking at Harshvardhan who was now very silent scared of his daughter.

Annika turned to Harshvardhan and spoke angrily "And you papa, why didn't you inform me of anything. Aint I your daughter anymore"

"Its nothing like that beta. It's just that I didn't want to make you worried. After all this was nothing at all"

"So you think this was nothing at all papa? So you think I'm nothing at all for you now? So I don't matter to you anymore? I'm none to you now all of a sudden? Ok thank you for letting me know!" Annika retorted him back, now breaking into a puddle of tears little by little with every word she spoke

"Anni don't cry. My laddoo don't cry. Come here! Come here to papa, you are my entire world" Harshvardhan replied, opening his arms which wide.

"You are a liar. I'm not your laddoo anymore. If I were your entire world, you'd not treat me like this. You'd have never ever hid something this big from me" Annika replied angrily with tears overflowing from her eyes.

"Papa is sorry, don't cry. Now what more do you need? Papa will cook your favourite aloo poori for you. I can't beg any more" Harshvardhan replied giving up. After all none had the guts to argue with Annika, not even her father

Annika stood there looking at him sternly still sobbing

"I give up yaar. I'm sorry, now give papa a hug"

Annika went near her dad uttering "I hate you" angrily and then fell on him, hugged him very tight crying. While Harshvardhan stroked her hair with a smile.

Shivaay stood there witnessing the scene between the father and a daughter. He didn't remember much about the time spent with his late father Shakti. Because he had been only 6 when his father had passed away. Now he was 30 and only had a vague memory of his late father and sister. But he wished he had someone to pamper him, the way uncle was pampering Annika. His mom had been surely there for him always but then she had had a business to handle. His mom had supplied the best in everything he needed or ever wanted. But he couldn't have forced his mom to spend more time with him, knowing the situation she was in and knowing the hardships she was going through to handle the business all alone and making sure she spent enough time with him also. He had been in the hostel, then abroad and now here, mostly faraway from his mother.
