Shivaay woke up the next morning to find himself on the floor. He tried getting up and his hip started aching,it was then that he remembered Annika's kickass punches. Holding his hip he got up to see Annika missing from the room. He thought she might be with his mother.

Shivaay walked into the kitchen where his mother was already preparing tea. He was searching for Annika every where. After all they had to go for their morning walk together. Shivaay badly regretted shouting at Annika. He had done it in the heat of the moment only because he had felt very terrible seeing her in that state with the goons teasing and staring at her. He had, had an adrenaline rush in anger and hence blasted out at Annika. But he did it only because he cared for her.
He was really sorry for it and had wanted to apologize, but he couldn't come up to do it. May be because of his ego, he thought. But today he was going to apologize. He had forgotten long ago about how she had shouted at him. After all he held no grudges against anyone, he forgave and forgot everyone and everything very soon. He even had forgiven the driver who had driven of recklessly and killed his father and sister. But with Annika it had been very different, it had taken him about two whole days to forget how she had shouted at him.
Normally he cared very less when people were miffed with him or shouted at him. But when Annika had shouted at him, he had felt literally very terrible and bad. He had even cried silently after banging the door on her face. He didn't know why, but he was very much affected about what Annika thought about him. Everything about her had started mattering to him all of a sudden. When she smiled, he felt good. When she laughed, he felt his heart ringing. Seeing tears in her eyes, made his heart distraught. When she was troubled, he felt like feeling the pain. If she got angry at him, it seemed to him as his whole world was falling apart and that left him completely broken. All of a sudden something had started mattering to him other than his profession his mom. The past few days with her had given him a new perceptive to life. Something strange was happening within him, which he could no longer term as friendship. But that was only with him and he couldn't impose the same things on Annika.
But today he had made up his mind to apologize to her. When he had shouted at her, he hadn't wanted to but he just hadn't had had the ability to control his anger either. He had been extremely furious seeing those road side coolies mocking her,he hadn't had anyone to vent out his anger at that time other than Annika and hence he had shouted at her. Only he knew how terrible he had felt after venting his frustration on her. Unable to face her he had run to the college early morning yesterday. But the arrival of his mother had forced them to come face to face again. So he had made up his mind to apologize to her.
"Good morning billu" Pinky called out placing a mug of espresso in front of him.
"Good morning maa" Shivaay smiled back, looking here and there for Annika. Pinky noticed it with a small smile and spoke in a playful tone,
"Looking for your wife billu haan. She has already left"
"Err, no I wasn't looking for her" Shivaay said scratching his forehead and getting up holding his hip.
"Oh my Mata, then why are you getting up in a hurry" pinky asked smiling
"I've to go jogging mom, spare me today" Shivaay replied irritated
"Why are you walking strangely holding your hips like that billu" Pinky questioned curiously looking at Shivaay's way of walking.
"Nothing mom" Shivaay replied in a fully irritated tone
"Ayye, hayye I shouldn't have asked such a question from my newly we'd son haina billu" Pinky replied happily
"Mom please" Shivaay replied with a shy smile, his cheeks all red now
