She ran to his huge book shelf and started searching in it for a diary dated 10 years ago. She almost pulled out all the books from it. But Annika found nothing in the shelf. She was frustrated.
"Where can this man hide his diaries?" She muttered to herself looking around the room.
It was then that she noticed a big old trunk box under his study table. She was really amused to find an old out dated trunk here.
She walked to the table and with much difficulty pulled out the box. She then sat on the floor and opened that heavy latch on it panting.
"Oh ho" she muttered excitedly, seeing the trunk filled with diaries of different sizes, dated different years. There was more than 20 diaries in it literally.
"Looks like he has an antique collection of diaries" Annika chuckled.
"I'm gonna ask him to open a museum to showcase his diaries", Annika mumbled continuing her mission of finding that diary. She took one diary after the other, in search of a diary dated 2008.
"This girl is inviting trouble to herself. Why drag the past now yaar? It's pointless. Anyways none of these two idiots listen to me."
"Yess!" Annika exclaimed getting hold of the diary she wanted.
"Wait in the note he had written, that he met her again after 7 years, that means I should find the other two diaries too" She muttered to herself and took the diaries dated 2009 and 2010 too.
She then put back all the diaries she had pulled out, closed the trunk and pushed it back under the study table.
She carried the three diaries with her, sat on Shivaay's bed crossed leg. She looked at the clock there was still 30 minutes for Shivaay's call. So she decided to read the diaries.
"Wait it's bad to intrude into another person's personal space", her mind warned her, as soon as she tried to turn the pages.
"Shivaay's not another person, he's my husband. I've the right to know everything" Annika convinced herself and turned the pages of the first diary.
"Oh Annika darling I thought he was your friend. You kept saying it always. Now how come all of a sudden he became your "HUSBAND". OH HO! Hayye! Ok I better shut up. But still Aww"
Annika turned the pages of the diary one after the other, it had nothing about the "she" Shivaay had written in the crumpled note. Annika was very curious to know only and only about that "she" right now.
She reached the last page and then it had a photograph of a lady pasted in it. The lady was laughing looking at something. Was this that "She", she thought. This lady looked extremely gorgeous and poise. The ladies eyes looked vibrant, like something was attracting Annika herself to her. She wanted to read further about this "certain beautiful lady". She started reading the lines written below the photograph. It said,
I saw her for the first time today morning, the last day of my first year at college. Her eyes attracted me first to her. Those eyes were doing something to me. I cracked a joke with my friends in order to gain her attention and HURRAY! I was successful in it. She started laughing looking at me and then I clicked this picture with my mobile. I'm completely lost, I wish I could listen to her laughter throughout my entire life. Tia Kapoor is gonna make me go nuts, before college ends.
Annika's eyes started glistening with tears. Who was this Tia Kapoor about whom Shivaay had so much to say. Her heart started aching. May be she was just a random friend of Shivaay, she thought. Shivaay literally told me everything of his life even his worst fears, if she was someone important Shivaay would've definitely told me about her, her heart said.
