I looked up at Demi and my jaw dropped. She changed into comfortable sweats and a loose V-neck that dipped teasingly low. I stared shamelessly and saw a blush creep up on Demi's face. "Al, you're drooling. Close your mouth." Mel nudged me and I reached my hand to wipe my face. "Bitch." I glared at Mel and Demi laughing as I realized that I wasn't actually drooling. "Whatever. Come on, I'm hungry." I walked off into the kitchen and grabbed three plates. "Hey Dems, I wasn't sure what pizza you usually get so I got pepperoni and cheese. That okay?" Mel led Demi into the kitchen and I turned to see a smirking Demi. "Dems? I like it. Both is fine, by the way."

I quickly turned around when I felt a blush creeping up my cheek. Was she flirting with me right now? I passed the plates to Mel and turned to the fridge. "Drinks?" I stuck my head into the fridge and reached to grab a beer. I turned around to see Mel standing by the door of the fridge. Her eyes widened and she walked over, grabbing the unopened beer from my hand and sticking it back in the fridge. "What the fuck?" Mel glared at me and lightly smacked my forehead. What's with her smacking me all the fucking time? "Demi has been into rehab for addiction issues. Don't drink around her." Mel whispered to me and pushed me from the fridge to grab 3 sodas from the fridge. I frowned at her. "I'm sure she's strong enough to handle people drinking around her, Mel."

I walked out of the kitchen with a sour look on my face. I can't even grab a beer and I'm pretty damn sure I deserved it. "What's with the long face, Alex?" I looked over at Demi and without thinking, "Mel took my beer away from me." Realization dawned on Demi's face and guilt crept up in me. "That's fine if you want to have a beer. I can handle it." She turned to Mel and gave her a hug. "Thank you, sweetie. I appreciate it." I looked at the exchange and felt my heart strings tug. "I should drink lesser anyway." I shrugged and opened the can of soda, taking big gulps out of it. "You're so gross." I looked over to see Mel giving me the most disgusted look. "I drink from the can, big deal." Mel rolled her eyes and turned to Demi. "A glass for the classy lady?" Demi smiled and nodded. "Mel, she's a little old for you. Wait, how old are you?" Demi laughed and Mel smacked me on the head again. "I'm turning 26 in a few months." So she was just a few years older than I was. "I can't call you old then."

Dinner turned out really well and into the night. It was a Saturday so Demi stayed for movie night. We were watching Cinderella, big surprise. I loved that movie and so did Mel. Demi did too, apparently. I looked over and watched as Demi's eyes lit up when the shoe finally fit. I smiled and felt my heart melt. Wait, what the fuck was I thinking? I just got out of a year long relationship 2 weeks ago. Sure, it hurt but it was a long time coming with the distance. Did I love her? Yes, of course. Was I in love with her? Not really, no. I fell out of love with her a few weeks into the new year of college. I turned my head back to the screen and continued watching the movie. 1 movie turned to 2 and then 3. Batman was next and the last one was Titanic. I looked over to see Mel sleeping soundly while cuddled into Demi. I was glad Mel managed to calm down and hang out with Demi as if she wasn't some big ass celebrity. I could bet that she was internally freaking out. I smiled and leaned over to Mel, shaking her gently. "Hey bug. Wake up. Go upstairs into your room." Mel's eyes slowly pried open and nodded, barely managing to mumble a goodnight before slowly trudging upstairs. Mel stayed cuddled between Demi and I the entire night. To say I was envious would be an understatement.

I shifted over to Demi and slowly tried shaking her to wake her up but to no avail. I let out a huff and made a split second decision. I lifted the blanket covering her and placed it on the back of the couch before gently lifting her up and into my bedroom. I gently placed her on the bed and pulled the covers over her. "Sleep tight Dems." I gave her a kiss on the forehead and watched with a small smile as she slightly stirred before falling back into a deep sleep. I was such a fucking creep. I turned off the lights and walked back downstairs. "Motherfuckers." I mumbled as I saw the messy state of the living room and dining area. After cleaning up, I laid myself across the couch and drifted off to a dreamless sleep.
