Important AN: There's going to be a few times skips in the next chapters, otherwise it'd just be a whole bunch of filler chapters. Also, I have an idea for the next fic that I'm planning to write but I'm not sure if I should or if I should just leave after this book.
Would you read the next fic if I decide to write it? Please comment.
Warning: Smut. I'll let you know when.
It's been a month since our first date and things were perfect. We decided to take things slow because of all the things that we had to work through but as I gave myself a once over in the mirror before our date tonight, I decided that tonight was the night that I was finally going to ask Demi to be my girlfriend. I picked up the bouquet of flowers I got, just like I did every time I went on a date with Demi and went to pick her up with a smile on my face.
"You look gorgeous, as always," I gave Demi a peck on the cheek as I pulled out her chair for her at the restaurant. "Thank you. So do you." There was a wide smile on her face and she looked giddy with happiness. "I really missed you this week." I smiled at her as I sat down. Demi was busy all week and though she did offer to us to be together whenever she got home at night, I always insisted that she get her beauty rest before an early start the next morning. "I missed you too. I'm glad that I finally got some time tonight and I wouldn't spend it anywhere else." I smiled at her but we were interrupted by the waiter bringing us our menus. Demi laid hers down on the table and flipped through as I smiled at her beauty.
Boy am I the luckiest person on the planet.
I didn't have the chance to fully look at her until now. Even the dark glow of the restaurant couldn't do anything to mask her beauty. When I got to her house, most of the lights were already off and she just placed the flowers on the nearest table, claiming that she didn't want to walk about in her heels and turn all the lights on and off again. I glanced down at her menu while opening mine, trying to decipher what she was going to get so I could maybe try to steal some of her food but my heart stopped when I saw that she was on the page filled with the alcoholic beverages. I froze and tried to make my stare less obvious, my heart suddenly pounding at the thought that she was drinking again. Her gaze started moving towards me and I quickly moved my eyes away, flipping through the menu. I sighed in momentary relief when I saw her flip away from the page, deciding to brush it off then. Maybe I'm just overthinking this. Demi promised to call if she ever felt like she was slipping and I trusted her. There's no reason to start doubting her now, was there?
"You can't be comfortable walking on the beach with those heels on. Let me get that for you." I kneeled down and took Demi's heels off, holding them in one hand and grabbing her hand in the other as I stood up. We decided to take a walk after dinner, which is something that we've almost always done in the past month that we've been on several dates. "Don't you just love the beach at night?" She inhaled deeply and let out a relaxing breath. As always, instead of enjoying nature's beauty around me, I enjoyed hers. "Demi..." I trailed off and she looked up at me. "This past month has been amazing. Every second that I spend with you, I just feel like I'm on cloud 9. Whenever we go on dates, there's no pressure no matter what we do or where we go because I'm so comfortable around you and I hope you feel the same." Demi's smile could barely be seen in the darkness that surrounds us. The only light was coming from the moon and it shone on her face beautifully. "We've been taking things slow but I'm falling more and more for you every single day. I don't want to wait another second to officially call you mine. Will you be my girlfriend?" Demi nodded and her smile morphed into a toothy grin. This couldn't have been more perfect as our lips met and our arms wrapped around in each other in the moonlight, with the waves gently crashing on the shore.
She's finally mine.
"Do you want to come in? I have the day off tomorrow." We were at her door and she looked up at me lovingly, running her hands up the front of my jacket and loosely looping her arms around my neck. "I would love to. I haven't seen Ella in so long." She gasped and slapped my arm. "What about Batman?" I let out a light chuckle. "Oh please, you give Batman enough love and attention for the both of us." Demi let out a loud laugh as we walked into her home. She took off her heels and grabbed the flowers off the table, going into the kitchen to grab a vase as the two furballs ran over to me. "I love them both equally!" I sat down on the floor and started patting and playing with them, chuckling whenever they did something hyper. "Does she now? I don't think you'd agree to that, would you Ella?"
